@AvdullahYousef Makes me think of chronically online incels who specialize in talking about female psychology/ hypergamy.
Gabriel Reynolds is an aqida incel.
@AvdullahYousef What I don’t get is why they are so keen on pushing perennialisn on Islam.
If you want to be a kafir, then just be a kafir and leave us alone…
Temu Douglas Murray, you've managed to pack a strawman, a genetic fallacy, and an appeal to ridicule into one tweet.
Islamic paradise explicitly ranks divine pleasure above all physical rewards (Quran 9:72), and the vision of God above that, making your "materialistic" charge laughably off the mark. Classical scholars consistently treat paradise's earthly descriptions as analogical language, not literal blueprints. Every serious theological tradition does this.
But, then again, you’re as serious as you are Akkadian, so there’s that…
What's wrong, Red?
The same folks who will neurotically shriek & froth at the mouth if anyone suggests they have undue influence over America's institutions are just innocently using their undue influence over America's institutions to get the United States Vice President fired…..for appearing on a middle-aged women's podcast.
What's the big deal? Is this Trump derangement syndrome?

It's genuinely crazy how unspiritual Muhammad's view of paradise was. It's such a sordid, undignified, and materialistic view on what the afterlife will look like. It seems too absurd to believe, and too obviously geared towards slaking the lusts of 7th century tribesmen.

Too many people sell things that nobody wants.
"Productivity"
"Find your blocker"
"Become your best self"
Nobody wakes up and thinks "I really want one of those things". Bad business.
@Nero For them, it’s less about the “what’sHalal and Haram?”, and more about what gives “me the maximum liability shield to turn the world into my shrieking harem?”
But, for that to work, they must position themselves as the world’s greatest victims
“Good and evil cannot be equal. [Prophet], repel evil with what is better and your enemy will become as close as an old and valued friend,” (Qur’an 41:34)
Incredible to witness God answer prayers in the most unexpected ways.
On the 29th of Ramadan I mentioned at the mosque how a decade ago someone funded a contest insulting the Muslim community. My teacher to my surprise made a prayer asking that God to forgive them and guide them. Little did I know then how soon I’d see that prayer answered.
Weeks later I was in LA having dinner with @Nero meeting him for the first time and he said we must work together to strengthen Catholic-Muslim relations. When I asked why, he said he wanted to make amends for funding an anti-Muslim contest ten years ago. It was the same contest I mentioned at the mosque. And before my very eyes I saw my teachers prayers answered.
Ten years ago we would have been enemies due to propaganda designed to keep us divided, but today we are honored to call each other friends and are committed to working together to strengthen Catholic-Muslim relations.
We believe Muslims and Catholics can find as much to love in each other as to be wary of. We acknowledge the beauty and subtlety of one another’s traditions and literary inheritances, and even agree on many sacred truths. The history of our species has been and will be the story of how well our two faiths can coexist and collaborate. There is no turning back the clock on demographic change in Europe. We have no choice but to learn to love, not least because we share an antagonist in the Middle East which, in its death throes, we know will show itself capable of moral horrors unseen before in history. The alliance we foresee between Muslims and Catholics the world over concerns more than merely our salvation. It may be essential to our survival.
Join us in strengthening an alliance between Catholics and Muslims united to stand for justice and overcome evil in this world together.
