Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme – Portal opening on 20 April 2020

HMRC have announced that the portal for claiming the wage costs (or part of the wage costs) of furloughed employees will be launched on 20 April.

For individuals in difficulty, mortgage lenders will offer at least a three-month mortgage holiday, so that people will not have to pay a penny towards their mortgage while they get back on their feet.

Coronavirus latest: UK Government to cover 80% of salaries up to £2,500 per month where workers are not working but are furloughed and kept on payroll rather than being laid off. Details of how to claim not released yet but scheme expected to be up and running by 1st April
