Been experimenting with Windows server 2012 edition. Too old, but something at the entry level my system can support.

I successfully created AD DS (internally) and enrolled one Windows 10 VM. That's the one showing up at 'Computers' in the AD admin section.

@itsfoss Using it with windows offers the best of both worlds. Having access to a linux VM that can run gui apps in my windows space and access all user files sounds good.

I am just pushing the limits of my system. For the love of it. Learning something by virtualising an OS that is locked down by the manufacturer.

Hypothetically it might run smoothly in a server environment when allocated enough resources, who knows!
