As someone who took the plunge on a lot of these and did them, it's genuinely one of the most rewarding things you can do. 😌 It's extremely fun to learn a discipline like yeah you'll be bad at it for a while, but the next time you try learning something related it'll be even faster.
If you learn how to play the piano, learning how to play the guitar becomes much easier. Learning how to produce music, will make the process of learning sound design easier etc.
I think the reason I enjoy making video games is because it's such a culmination of all the stuff I've learned? I can be creative with my art, my programming, my music and sound design, my storytelling, it's all of it.
And honestly, you might hate the thing you try doing but at least you'll know. It's intimidating but I think a lot of people overestimate just how difficult these things are to start, you just do it. You'll learn as you go.
@ZayneDoesThings Don't know if it's actually sustainable, but for me it's embracing nostalgia and thinking back to games that gave me great experiences (not necessarily what's currently popular).
If I make a game that I'd enjoy playing myself, chances are there's a market for it somewhere.
Me: What did you do at school today?
5-year old: Leraned about dragons
Me: Your class learned about dragons?
5: I learned about dragons. I don’t know what everybody else was doing.
We’re a small indie studio and we want to spend 100% of our time finishing our game, not chasing wishlists on social media.
If you like supporting indie devs, can you help us reach 7,000 wishlists? RT 🙏🎮

@GiusCaminiti Always. Although, not so much a fear as it is an expectation 😅
But most of the time they are small enough that they fall in the "<5% of players will encounter this" category. So I try not to worry too much
When people critique indie games, they forget:
One person is usually the creator, creative director, game director, lead game & level designer, narrative designer, sound designer, composer, producer, project manager, QA, marketing, and release coordinator.
A reminder to appreciate indie developers! #DontFret #Indie #Horror
SOS! 😂 I’m a solo dev trying to reach English-language media about my game, but spam filters are blocking my emails!
If any lovely media folks are open to covering my game, I’d be so grateful! 💌✨

@GuildWars2
@ecargmura A few more artes might've been nice, but this is a bit disingenuous. Jude can heal and REVIVE his link partner, with no TP cost or cast time. Genuinely a great representation of a non-magical healer/doctor.
@CaffeinatedDad1@GuildWars2 I used to do this for daily puzzles and people would occasionally mail me gold as thanks! It felt pretty good to help out haha
