@HLTVorg@thunderpickco TOs need to stop using bucholtz for swiss systems. It does not work for 5 round systems, and is actively counterproductive.
Mongolz can go out losing to the 3, 7 and 8 seed, while being the 6 seed
GM8 can qualify by beating the 11, 12 & 14
magic can qual beating 11, 12 & 13

@garrettkidney Trying to find your next show to watch and left with the feeling "Nope, that's not really what I want" on every single one, because what you really want in that moment is more of the same characters existing happily every after just kind of hanging out together.
It's fine for this Major, but if the Major deadline moves back a month in 2027 it re-creates the problem of tier 1 events scheduled over the top of the deadline that it looked like we'd moved past.
There should be less of an open LAN scramble for this one, as we won't have a tier 1 LAN overhanging the deadline and not counting.
Instead of this time where PGL's Bucharest studio LAN was in the worst place in the calendar, it is now in the best slot to decide Major slots

@JesperLarsen222 It's really healthy that LAN wins have stopped being a differentiator, and instead something almost everybody is (close to) level on, but has had the function of forcing activity, ensuring struggling tier 1 teams have to go out and prove they deserve their spot.
With that win, BIG are qualified to the Major, and Alliance are eliminated from contention.
There is now one EU spot left. If FaZe win in Belgrade they qualify, if they don't win the event SINNERS qual.
FaZe winning would also help Passion in Americas.
One day left. Two spots still up for grabs in EU across five teams.
The rest of the higher ranked CIS teams have let K27 down by getting upset before K27 could scalp them.
@BANDEERAA @MischiefCS2 It won't be a huge difference, but when the race is so close tiny movements might make the difference.
Passion also beat FaZe last week, so FaZe winning in Belgrade and making that win retroactively more valuable will also help Passion.
@BANDEERAA @MischiefCS2 paiN played Passion twice within the last six months. Once at EPL, once at BLAST Rivals. If paiN goes up in ranking, Passion also goes up in ranking very slightly.
Gladiators (paiN's opponent) played Liquid twice recently, so them beating paiN would raise Liquid.
It's going to come down to less than 2 VRS, and we won't know if Liquid or Passion are going to the Major until Valve releases the update.
Unless Sangal just wins of course.
One day left, one spot left in play.
Gladiators just locked in their spot.
Liquid clinging on, but BESTIA or maybe Passion could pass them. Liquid selling their Assembly LAN ticket to M80 (who didn't even use it) about to be incredibly costly.
This is because Passion's route is going to end up less VRS profitable than expected. BESTIA lost in the groups, which means they lost points and they met in the SF instead of the final, and then Tricked lost in SF which means Passion will face low ranked Sangal in the final.
