American screenwriter and producer, Norman Lear, has died at the age of 101. Known for "All in the Family," "The Jeffersons," "Sanford and Son," and more, he developed over 100 shows. Throughout his career he was awarded six Primetime Emmys, multiple Peabody Awards, the Golden Globe Carol Burnett Award, and was inducted into the Television Academy Hall of Fame. An activist for many liberal causes, he established Declare Yourself and founded People for the American Way.
