@RevFox84 Happened to me once. Sucks. If there is anyone in the friend group who hasn't, reach out to them, since they probably saw them talk about it behind your back.
Sorry to hear that happened, though. It sucks.
@RynQuestionMark I just don't get it...why marry someone if you don't know you are gonna be committed? How do you not know you love someone at that point? Self-exploration is for before settling down. I can get mistaking admiration for a crush, but MARRIAGE??
@damage_joe@SparkleMuffin21 It's politicalization. People can't look past this user's political views because of political correctness and inherent profiling. It sucks. People deserve better.
@darkfang1989@YourPalAnus This is true.
I don't like the pressure friend groups put on me to be "politically correct." I really...don't. It's stressful.
@Taevarth Aww, I'm sorry. :(
If it makes you feel better, not all friends like doing that. I typically prefer to talk more via text than vc or play games. At most, I'll do an art trade with someone. Do people at least message you?
@BasedRedhead@thechosenberg I seriously can't think of anything more painful and torturous myself. I'm being genuine here. I'm not saying to throw a fit or anything, but it shouldn't be celebrated to just...do that to someone.
@mealdealtruther It's different when you are abused or something. That's different. But in this case, you chose to lead your husband on, or you realized much, much too late that your feelings were disingenuous. That just seems selfish
@mealdealtruther Probably the latter. I always feel like once you settle down and get married, that's it. You have made your choice, especially when kids are involved. Your life affects others now. You really have to think things through before you make these choices.
@standonovahdah@awsometime2 A few friends of mine got mad at me for not being "politically correct" enough during a phase of grieving, and it opened my eyes to how out of control it has gotten tbh. You can't go two feet without encountering this. Not even in private with friends. :/
@obsessed_arts@sapphicfunbun She calls him out. She's allowed to be his friend. Isolating someone in TADC is also basically murder btw. Even the others don't leave him out because they know he will (and did) literally die. They can call him out and not condemn him to certain death
@PhoebeFirefly@cardsnstuf1 I've been hurt by people in said communities (far left) and I am wary of them because a lot of the time they are violent against people who haven't done anything. It's stuff like that that make people radicalized
@standonovahdah@awsometime2 The culture war started subtly around maybe 2016-2018, but COVID lockdowns seriously turned the internet into a politicized wasteland. It's also centred around American politics specifically
@PhoebeFirefly@cardsnstuf1 Well, it'll just be a cycle of pain and resentment then. They'll just learn that that group is indeed as hurtful as they personally believe they are and will keep attacking them
