Private sector meteorology is flourishing and there are lots of weather and weather-adjacent jobs. Despite what some claim, we do not compete with NWS; we heavily utilize the data and repurpose it for business continuity needs. EVERYONE is hurt by understaffed and underfunded NWS
Friends, NO ONE can “control” the weather. Cloud seeding, or anything similar, produces shaky results at best.
It’s disturbing to hear such nonsense from anyone, especially politicians (even if it is just one).
Meteorologists are not Gods.
