The students really got into this @Desmos Polygraph Parabolas Activity. Way to go @DHS_Morning for facilitating a great discussion about the need for concise academic vocabulary and highlighting common questions and hinting at key features.@VCSMath@delandbulldogs
Pictures don't do this justice. I wish you all could hear the discussions between the students. Thanks @dolphingal369 for letting me sit it on this awesome low-prep, HIGH-engagement activity. #QuadrilateralCraze@delandbulldogs@VCSMath
Hate Test? @TMG_loves_Math has an alternative assignment for you! Due Thursday or Test Friday, the choice is yours. Way to go Ms. Gilligan @VCSMath@DHSHappenings
@Laura_McGinnes @VCSMath@SchwentToClass@DHSHappenings Randomly select problems, and as students answer correctly they get to mark the corresponding spot. This teacher uped the ante and allowed students to show and explain their work instead of her giving the answer.
@Laura_McGinnes @VCSMath@SchwentToClass@DHSHappenings Think of it like bingo. On a 4x4 card have students randomly place numbers 1 -16. Then have a set of problems numbered (on the back) 1-16.
Students were loving Coach Carr's table top whiteboards. It not only got them working but it also got them collaborating! Great job! #OnOurWayToAnA @CarbonellDHS @DHSHappenings
