Mo’Nique calls out Oprah for speaking on Whitney Houston when she’s no longer alive to defend herself and calls it unfair, saying she wouldn’t speak on an incident or conversation she had with a person if they can’t confirm it with a yes or no.
I've seen Lauryn Hill perform "Ex-Factor" many times but something about this one she just did in Rio De Janeiro hit different
One of the greatest songs ever
The old protect the young, and then the young protect the old.

Can you imagine as a prerequisite all seniors choose a kindergartners to mentor and teach....... teaching the seniors patience and pride, and the kindergartners have someone to look up to ( not in their family)
And when the seniors graduate, the kindergartners will graduate with them (into first grade)
That would be an AWESOME program!
This guy shares the wild and wonderful story of getting a random text at 1:00 a.m. from a complete stranger asking whether she should wear green or gold for what might be a date.
He replies with simple kindness — “Wear the green. You got this. Look amazing.” — and that small act sparks months of ongoing texts. He becomes her secret cheerleader, encouraging her through the highs and lows as she falls for her date.
Eventually she figures out who he is and invites him to her wedding. He shows up knowing no one there… and watches proudly as the bride walks down the aisle with a green ribbon in her hair, giving him a special wink as she passes.
Life can be wonderfully weird sometimes, but a little kindness to a stranger can create something truly beautiful. Always be kind — ’cause weirdness can be kind.
Have you ever had a random late-night text or interaction with a complete stranger turn into something meaningful and full-circle like this?
Targeting of #BlackAmericans:
A significant portion of the show is dedicated to what #RachelMaddow frames as a concerted attack on #civilrights, including the firing of high-profile Black officials, the rescinding of anti-segregation clauses in federal contracts, and the alleged abandonment of Fair Housing Act enforcement.
#VotingRights:
The episode examines the fallout from the #SupremeCourt effectively gutting the Voting Rights Act, leading to aggressive redistricting efforts by state #Republicans in the South
Back in August 2025 @rolandsmartin said this about Political and economic power in Black America being on the line. The Congressional Black Caucus faces an existential threat as the Supreme Court eyes rulings that could erase over 30 Black-held seats. Political and economic power in Black America is on the line. Well what did the Supreme Court do last week?

Holy shit, how is Iran banging these 🔥LEGO videos out so damn quickly?
"Shots fired, whole place got swatted out...

Every time your polls drop low
You pull this same scheme."
Even THEY think it was staged.
Brionna Johnson was told she would have to end her pregnancy and undergo a hysterectomy. Instead, a 27-pound fibroid was removed while preserving her pregnancy and her ability to have children. Too often, Black women face limited options or are not heard. This outcome shows what is possible when patients are listened to and given real care. Equity in maternal care is not a luxury, it is a necessity.
She started a bakery in New York and it’s wonderfully successful. Listen as she explains why she opened where she opened it. 👩🏾🍳 She has a beautiful soul.

Nick Cannon and Amber Rose talking politics sparked a lot of conversation—but let me add a layer of history that’s missing.
If you don’t know who Barry Goldwater was, then you don’t fully understand how the modern conservative movement took shape. Most people point to Ronald Reagan because he won the presidency, but the shift started before him—and even before Richard Nixon. They refined and executed a message that Goldwater helped bring into national focus.
Go back and look at the states that went for Goldwater in 1964. That map tells a story.
At some point, we’ve got to build up a stronger platform of advocates and scholars to balance out the noise being pushed into our community. Too many feelings without facts is how people get misled.
Look him up—and tell somebody else. Because too often, the folks doing the real work don’t get amplified like the ones just talking about it.

#OMG@SistahScholar spoke a word on @rolandsmartin a few years ago and this clip needs to be played during election season. Isn’t it funny that some #black folks come out heavy during #election time to tell black folks not to #vote or telling half of a story to fit their narrative 🤔. How much y’all get paid? Don’t fall for it, do your research & vote people!!!
