The Power of Words

“No matter how much we write, words will always fall short in describing you,” wrote Sakshi in her poem for him.

Just a year ago, Sakshi Surana from Solapur faced a tough decision—she had to drop a year of school due to health issues. Severe migraines and back spasms kept her from finishing her exams, and economics, in particular, became an uphill battle.

But what kept her going through that challenging gap year was the power of words—specifically, the words of Prime Minister @narendramodi during his Pariksha Pe Charcha.

His words became her anchor during that difficult year, reminding her that even in the face of setbacks, success was possible if you kept pushing forward.

With determination, Sakshi put everything she had into her studies. And the result? She not only topped her school in the 12th standard exams but also aced economics, the subject she had once struggled with.

Then arrived an envelope—an official letter from the Prime Minister’s Office. Inside was a personal message from PM Modi himself, congratulating her on her remarkable efforts and wishing her success in the future.

Sakshi could hardly believe it. The words that had once inspired her had now become the very ones that recognized her achievement. In that moment, it felt like she had ‘topped the entire world.’

The power of his words had changed everything for her.

In the final lines of her poem, she wrote, “How do we ever put into words the deeds of a leader like you? This is the riddle that I can never solve…”
