For years, there’s been something about Zomato that made me uneasy.
We made eating out and ordering in easier than ever, but we never really helped people truly eat better. Yes, you could find a salad or a smoothie bowl, but the truth is, if you wanted to eat genuinely nourishing food, Zomato didn’t make it easy.
That weighed on me, because when we say our mission is “better food for more people”, the “better” has to mean something deeper.
Today, we’ve taken one of the biggest steps in fixing that blind spot. We’re launching Healthy Mode on Zomato.
Every dish in this mode now comes with a Healthy Score—from Low to Super—based on what really counts for your health: protein, complex carbs, fibre, and micronutrients, and not just calories. Behind the scenes it’s AI and restaurant data doing the heavy lifting, but what you’ll see is simple: a clear explanation of what makes a dish healthy, and why.
This is not your run of the mill “healthy mode” for beginners. We have kept the bar very high, that professional athletes can rely on healthy mode to find food that works for them.
This is personal for me. I’ve carried the guilt that Zomato made it easy to eat whatever you craved, but not easy to eat what your body needed. Healthy Mode is our first real step in putting that right.
It’s live in Gurgaon, and we’ll expand fast. Try it, tear it apart, tell us where it fails. Because this is just the beginning—and for the first time, I feel we’re moving meaningfully closer to truly living up to our mission: better food for more people.
The stock market doesn’t care about your feelings.
And nothing proves this better than Force Motors, a stock that became a 150X bagger

Obesity is a metabolic disease
T2 diabetes is a metabolic disease
Hypertension
Fatty liver disease
PCOS
Heart disease
And even cancer
…are all metabolic diseases.
And guess what’s causing metabolic disease?
It’s not your age.
It’s not your genes.
It’s your FOOD.
Real life scenario:
Name: Mark
Age: 45
Lifestyle: Sedentary, fast food meals, sugary snacks, and drinks. No regular exercise or health checkups.
Mark hasn’t seen a doctor since his early 20s. He feels tired all the time, often thirsty, and notices frequent urination. He dismisses it as “getting older” until one day, he feels dizzy and struggles to catch his breath after climbing a flight of stairs. His wife convinces him to see a primary care physician (PCP).
Doctor’s Visit
At his PCP appointment, Mark is shocked to learn:
• Weight: 240 pounds (BMI: 34, obese)
• Blood Pressure: 160/100 (hypertensive)
• Fasting Blood Sugar: 200 mg/dL (diabetic range)
• HbA1c: 9.0% (poorly controlled diabetes)
• Triglycerides: 300 mg/dL (elevated)
• HDL: 30 mg/dL (low)
The doctor explains that he has type 2 diabetes, hypertension, and dyslipidemia in addition to being obese.
————————————————
Treatment Plan with Medications
The doctor prescribes a series of medications:
1. Metformin for blood sugar control.
2.GLP-1 agonist (e.g., Ozempic) for better glycemic control and weight loss.
3. SGLT-2 inhibitor (e.g. Jardiance) for better glucose control
4. Statin (e.g., Lipitor) to lower cholesterol
5. ACE inhibitor (e.g., lisinopril) to control blood pressure and protect kidney function.
6. Diuretic (e.g. hydrochlorothiazide) to manage hypertension.
Mark leaves with 6 prescriptions and a follow-up appointment in three months. The doctor briefly mentions diet and exercise but doesn’t provide concrete guidance. 3 months later, Mark’s labs look better and weight is down, but he feels lousy and has no energy. He asked his PCP about when he can stop these meds, but was told this is for life and that he may need more meds over time.

Alternative Approach: Dietary Changes
Feeling upset and overwhelmed, Mark researches his condition and discovers the potential of dietary interventions. He consulted with a low-carb doctor and a health coach, adopts a low-carb, whole-food diet (reducing sugar, refined carbs, and seed oils, while eating more protein and healthy fats), and starts walking daily and doing resistance training. Within 6 months of sustained dietary and lifestyle changes:
• Weight: 190 pounds (BMI: 27, no longer obese).
• Blood Pressure: 115/75 (optimal).
• Fasting Blood Sugar: 85 mg/dL (normal range).
• HbA1c: 5.2% (normal range, no longer diabetic).
• Triglycerides: 95 mg/dL (ideal range).
• HDL: 50 mg/dL (improved).
Mark’s doctor officially declares him free of type 2 diabetes and hypertension, and he is off all medications (were tapered off over time). His energy levels are back, and he enjoys an active lifestyle, proving that dietary changes can completely reverse chronic conditions.

Who’s the real doctor (healer)? The one who prescribed 6 medications or the one who set the patient on a healthy lifestyle and de-prescribed all 6 medications?
If you exercised but slept 6 hours, you'd be healthier than if you slept 9 hours but didn't exercise.
Of course, you should sleep 7-8 hours and exercise, but sleep alone doesn't have the regenerative and systemic effect of exercise.
You get more benefits from sleep if you exercise and sleep enhances the effects of exercise.
Our food system isn’t about nourishing people—it’s a profit-driven science experiment. Big Food makes billions, while humanity pays the price with obesity and chronic disease.
And the kicker? Scientists are paid to convince you that you’re the problem—not the food.

Minerals are the root of your health - they’re needed to carry out virtually every process in the body
Water is a more bioavailable mineral source because it is dissolved and charged in the liquid, rather than bound to food particles.
