Today, the individual who killed a Toronto man, shot at our officers, and took the life of Police Service Dog Bingo was sentenced. This case is a stark reminder of the dangers our members face in protecting our city. Bingo was killed in the line of duty, shielding his handler and fellow officers. He will always be remembered as a hero.

A Toronto Police Motor Squad officer was injured in a collision this afternoon while on duty. He was transported to a trauma centre, and his injuries have been deemed non-life-threatening.
