I mainly share the good news of the Gospel and Reformed theology over on my @LinkedIn public page! (No specific stance on Baptism/Eschatology/etc here.)
@JulesDiner They should do the honorable thing, and make their own synagogues instead of disturbing the peace and unity of the actual Christian churches, with their evil
@Ben_Dennis_@tomascol "Hey guys, I like what someone said and agree that _____ (insert obvious evil thing) is not a moral failing"
I will let yall judge on that one
@NeildiGrasse@SpencerHakimian This is actually the natural result of Godless societies and atheism that you espouse. It has already been proven in history.
You probably struggle with other things that are "both and" truths. It can both be true that Scripture is clear on the essentials (faith in Jesus Christ for salvation, etc) and that Satan and his minions can and will twist the Word of God (taking wrongly out of context or wrong application, or slightly changing adding/removing things, or straight up lying about it) to deceive people. These things are not mutually exclusive. There are demons and people who can know and give mental assent that Jesus is God, but this does not mean they have saving faith and trust in Him.
Hope this helps, God bless!
The Scriptures are clear on the matter of losing Salvation (or lack thereof), but this does not mean that the Scriptures do not require careful study as well to rightly know these things. There are also helpful aids and lower/fallible authorities like Creeds, Confessions, pastors/teachers, etc.
On the issue of losing salvation (or lack thereof), this comes from some texts on maybe apostasy. The Scriptures clearly state in 1 John that "they went out from us because they were never of us".
The other truth we must hold is that Jesus Christ is faithful and the Holy Spirit indwells with the true believer, and those who are truly saved will not lose their salvation, though at times they grieve the Spirit.
Again, careful study required to rightly know these things, but this does not mean scripture is not clear. I would humbly suggest you try to just read through the Scriptures and pray to God for help.
God bless
@GuerillaLawyer@SeanNea71990714 On the sin of Simony (which you Catholics engage in egregiously as well), I affirm against.

@SeanNea71990714@GuerillaLawyer The "Scripture is clear" phrase is really pointing at the fact that the essentials of the Christian faith and practice is clearly stated in Scripture, among other doctrines. This does not mean that there are not difficult and complex things in Scriptures, or need for scholarship.
