@domluszczyszyn @CKap219 All fair and thanks for the responses.

So you gonna run the model again with the necessary Laf bump or we settling for underdog vibes?

[TheMechanic @TheRotoMechanic]

@domluszczyszyn @CKap219 You’re striving for scalability but Laf is a different player now. 19th in ES goals, and with PP1 time he’s pushing the top 30 scorers. Logic would dictate that you don’t factor his, or other similar players’, past seasons in at all, or are least significantly adjust weightings.

[TheMechanic @TheRotoMechanic]

@domluszczyszyn @CKap219 My sense is that you are underweighting breakout seasons from high-talent players.

[TheMechanic @TheRotoMechanic]

@domluszczyszyn @CKap219 What time period does your model consider, and how does that change for a young guy vs an established player? Do you give more weighting to recent years in general, and even more weighting to young player’s recent years?

Laf was very far from avg offensively this year.

[TheMechanic @TheRotoMechanic]

@domluszczyszyn @CKap219 Dom - This feels like an admission that the model is not as accurate as it could be if you’re improperly weighting certain inputs (ie Laf’s breakout year). Why not model current state as accurately as possible? 2-yrs-ago-Laf is not relevant.

@AdamZHerman What if Perrault is the answer here after his season ends? Any chance NYR burn an ELC year to take that gamble?

[TheMechanic @TheRotoMechanic]

@united been sitting at SFO gate for an hour while you refuse to let us deboard the plane. I cannot express strongly enough how much your airline sucks.
