Had an enjoyable day out on Sunday at the @RHDR bus rally. Travelled down on DLA1, running in convoy with 3043, both performing excellently. Took a ride on the train to Dymnchurch & took DLA on a trip to Dungeness & back. Good to catch up with many familiar faces in the day too.

A wonderful day out at the Thanet Road Run with 3043 today. The lynx performed faultlessly today, starting off in Ramsgate, through Broadstairs, Margate and Westgate before heading down to Ramsgate. Some lovely sea views and wonderful company for the day, great to see everyone.

A wonderful day out at Brooklands yesterday, attending the Summer on the Buses event. Travelled up on TW’s 1518, running in convoy with 3043, both buses running excellently despite heat. Nice to visit Brooklands again and lovely to see some familiar faces throughout the day too.

A fitting send off yesterday to #ArrivaTunbridgeWells 6007, which ran for the last time in service. A very popular and reliable vehicle, serving TW well over the past few years. The last runs were the 16.40 6 to TW & 18.20 to TW Hospital, bringing to an end Arriva DLA operation.

So, the day has come; all going well (subject to change due to roadworks & delays blah blah blah 🥱), 6007 will be out on 506 op, performing 77X then 6s for most of the day.

Nearside panel replacement on the long DAF today. The Southend dent & bodge neatly disappeared finally!

An excellent day out at the East Grinstead Running today, with conductor duties onboard 3043, making its return to service after 3 years VOR. Started off with a trip to Copthorne, then to Godstone before Copthorne & Dormansland. Lovely to have wonderful company for the day too.

An excellent day out at the Brooklands Spring Gathering. Attended with DLA1, certainly turning many heads and nice to take it there for the first time. Nice to tick off an Excel, Sigma & Electroliner, excellent company throughout the day, great to see so many familiar faces.

A wonderful day out today, Started off with 6136 on the 402 up to Sevenoaks & back, then a 211 ride on 1518 before taking 3043 for a refuel and needed wash ahead of MOT. Then, headed to Lewes on the 29 and returned on RRP on DW72 before finishing the day on nighttime 6Xs on 4106.

Impromptu photo-op with 1518 this afternoon for publicity & marketing. Returned to the M&D bus stop in the depths of North Tonbridge, returned to the site of the former M&D garage in TW, and finally, the inspiration, little & large.

With tomorrow being 6260s last day before withdrawal, I took one last in service ride along the 774. A lovely bus, new to Leicester in 2002 and is now the last of the classic Lowlanders with Arriva Kent. A nice quiet sunset cruise to Tonbridge, ahead of its last service tomorrow.

A wonderful day out around Kent today. Started off with 6204 on a frosty morning 402 to Sevenoaks and back, then on AE57 FBA along the soon to be withdrawn 255 and 296. A sunset trip on 6200 along the 6 to East Peckham followed before a nice evening on the dart around Tonbridge.

Cancelled MOT (still a week before expiry before I get some twit reporting…) due to a suspect rad leak. Temp fix to keep it running, but needed a proper run, so a cheeky trip to Mudway was in order. 🥰
