While the entire world is praising Captain Smit Machhar’s courage in which, despite being injured, he stood firm in the cockpit and saved the aircraft and the lives of the passengers Congress MP Imran Masood is dismissing it as “NO BRAVERY, JUST BJP’S CELEBRATION.”
Rahul Gandhi and the Congress high command are silent on this statement. The question is not of religion, but of the act itself. The valour that the international media and world leaders are honouring is being downplayed by Congress leaders. Had the same act been performed by a pilot with a different name, the party’s tone today would have been different. Placing the party’s calculations above national pride is an old habit of the Congress and this is precisely what prevents it from becoming a credible opposition.

Sanjay Dutt’s remarks on Shekhar Suman’s show where he said he no longer feels the same peace and calm in his own country and wished for the return of earlier days call for a courteous but clear response.
Every citizen has the right to express concern about the national atmosphere, and it may suit him to confine a public statement to “scripted humour.” Yet when advice on peace, harmony, and responsibility comes from someone whose own public journey has included recorded tests of law, discipline, and public trust, the comment reads less as analysis and more as irony. The country has, on several occasions, given personal lapses the chance of reform; to then speak of a lack of peace in that same country appears closer to role-playing than to self-reflection.
Respectfully, example carries more weight than exhortation. Humour may be contextual, but accountability for a public statement usually survives the context. One hopes future remarks on the country’s condition will weigh personal experience and the historical record with greater balance.

India is no longer only advocating peace in the Russia-Ukraine war. It is now part of the diplomatic process.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister @andrii_sybiha has said Kyiv has four ceasefire proposals from India, Türkiye, Egypt and the United States and that India’s is the broadest. Ukraine is prepared to consider an energy and Black Sea truce together, covering strikes on energy facilities, port infrastructure and the Black Sea.
President Vladimir Putin has separately said Prime Minister @narendramodi ji raises the need to end the conflict at every meeting and has “VERY GOOD IDEAS” for a mutually acceptable solution.
External Affairs Minister @DrSJaishankar ji. has confirmed that in recent months India has moved beyond advocacy, holding talks with both Moscow and Kyiv on Black Sea shipping safety, grain and energy exports, and possible non-attack arrangements.
New Delhi’s position remains consistent: dialogue over alignment, and an end to war over an endless war. When both sides treat the same proposal as serious, that role is no longer symbolic.
Choosing the side of peace is also a strategic choice.

Chief Election Commissioner and Other Election Commissioners (Appointment, Conditions of Service and Term of Office) Act संमत केला.

Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party’s silence, and the issues they choose to speak on, both raise serious questions. On the Dubai–Tel Aviv flight, even after an attack inside the cockpit, Indian pilot Captain Smit Machchhar, despite being injured, made a final effort to open the door, helped avert a disaster, and played a decisive role in saving the lives of 180 passengers. Prime Minister @narendramodi ji spoke to him from the hospital, and several international leaders, including Israeli Prime Minister @netanyahu, saluted his bravery. Yet there was not even a personal word from Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, or Priyanka Gandhi for this Indian hero. A later statement by Mallikarjun Kharge does not fill that gap.
At the same time, the same leadership is quick to speak the language of “MORAL CLARITY” on Gaza, Palestine, and Iran. Supporting Sonia Gandhi’s article on Gaza, Rahul Gandhi said India was slipping into “ISRAEL’S STRATEGIC ORBIT” and demanded that India speak up, citing attacks on Palestinian children. The Congress Working Committee called Gaza a “GENOCIDE,” accused the country’s foreign policy of a moral stain, and raised the issue of India’s traditional position in Iran and the Middle East being weakened.
Silence when an Indian pilot risks his life to save passengers on a flight bound for Israel; immediate statements when the narrative is about Gaza, Palestine, and Iran. This contrast does not appear accidental. Captain Smit drew on the Hanuman Chalisa to hold his nerve the same cultural self-belief that Congress politics has often questioned. Whether foreign policy will be shaped by vote banks and selective international narratives, or by the bravery of an Indian citizen and the national interest, is something the country will have to decide before 2029.

Brock Lesnar was officially inducted into the University of Minnesota M Club Hall of Fame on October 2 at Huntington Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
After transferring from Bismarck Junior College in 1998, he went 55-3 with 23 pins for the Golden Gophers. NCAA Heavyweight runner-up in 1999, national champion in 2000, two-time All-American and two-time Big Ten champion tied for the best winning percentage in program history.
That foundation built The Beast: multi-time @WWE Champion, @ufc Heavyweight Champion, and a Brief Run with the Minnesota Vikings. The honor comes roughly two months after his final match at SummerSlam 2026.
Congratulations, @BrockLesnar. 🏆
Highway signboards in Hindi made CM Joseph Vijay so angry that two officials were suspended.
When he was getting every film of his dubbed into Hindi to earn crores from North India, Hindi felt like a “Mother Tongue.” Opposition to the language exists only in power, not when there is money to be made.

Bollywood’s silence on Captain Smit Machchhar ji’s courage does not look like a coincidence. It looks like part of a calculated narrative.
On 30 September, Captain Smit Machchhar ji was attacked inside the cockpit of flydubai flight FZ1073 (Dubai–Tel Aviv). Despite being seriously injured, he opened the cockpit door so that the crew and passengers could overpower the attacker. The aircraft dropped thousands of feet, yet all 174 lives were saved. Prime Minister @narendramodi ji, President Murmu, Israeli Prime Minister @netanyahu and US President @realDonaldTrump called him a hero. He himself said that in those moments of crisis, reciting the Hanuman Chalisa gave him strength.
On an incident this large, where an Indian pilot saved hundreds of lives while wounded, a large section of Bollywood either spoke late or stayed silent. The same industry that issues instant statements, candle marches and “SOLIDARITY” posts on far smaller issues made its priorities clear here. When a subject does not fit their preferred propaganda line whether it is religious identity, national interest or real sacrifice the voice grows quieter. Propaganda becomes loud only when the script is already written; when the truth falls outside that script, silence itself becomes the strategy.
The real hero was not on the screen. He was in the cockpit. Salute to Captain Smit Machchhar.
