@MakandiCarol You need to understand what clinical trials are and the purpose for the same. This has nothing to do with being African/Kenyan...in testing for the vaccine you need a disease naive population...this allows for attribution of generated immunity to the vaccine.

@NACC_Kenya This is true, it boils down to the immune system...which in this case is compromised thus the need for those affected to observe social/physical distancing as well as hygiene preventive measures for #COVID-19

@PhilipBejon And considering that the testing right now is for those who have been isolated/quarantined....there is a possibility of silent transmissions occurring within the populations which may only be revealed through mass testing.

@PhilipBejon Great insights...What worries me at individual level are the asymptomatic transmissions and it is probable that with the lifting of restrictions,a flare-up may occur.Planning for the same is really important.

@Max1Mash @TheStarKenya For example An N95 mask is >95% efficient at filtering particles of 0.3 micrometers. The droplets containing Covid-19 created when we talk, cough, and sneeze are roughly 5 micrometers .

@Max1Mash @TheStarKenya Please share the link to the research that showed that double layered cotton cloths provide upto 70% protection. Its not about the double layering but the filtration capacity of a given mask..that is what defines the kind of protection you get.
