Students don't listen to you because you're really cool. They don't listen to you because you're closer in age. They won't listen to you if you try to connect on these levels.
They will listen because you have the truth. Because you care. Trust me, they can tell the difference.
@SarahIronside6@howertonjosh So many quotes out of context, but go ahead. Let's show the whole thing.
Jefferson was actually praising teachings of Jesus, not people
In an 1801 letter he wrote that the "Christian philosophy" was "the most sublime & benevolent, but most perverted system that ever shone on man
@marcado_razon@MikeWingerii Straw Man argument. Posting up a whole bunch of charismatic prosperity gospel abusers does not equate the causality of sola scriptura.
It's like saying, look at the crusades, Jesus must be evil.
You're either ignorant or purposely misleading people and in such being evil.
@howertonjosh The irony of saying things like a 13-year-old that come off sounding so incredibly gay whilst trying to defame another man and such. No idea of understanding the difference between meekness and weakness. What a child. He still has breath and I hope he comes to Christ.
@SpencerAZJW@pastorlocke If you're honestly asking me and not trying to have a gotcha moment on here, I don't respect nonbiblical theology. It's a silly question.
But when a father loses a son, what he needs is presence in the gospel. We don't need a son's death used in the same battering you mention.
@SpencerAZJW@pastorlocke Just lost all respect for you.
It doesn't matter how right you are or not. Weaponizing the grief of a lost son to try and hold a high horse theologically against his son's external destination is filthy and deplorable...
Yes, so is misuse of scripture. It doesn't excuse you.
@catturd2 I'm so glad she said she's of sound mind and body over and over so that insanity defense is gone.
And has a Christian, theology matters.
Not everybody doing evil is a demon and not everybody claiming to see them are right. This is the fallout when people have bad theology.
