After the best 2.5 years at Aintree Critical Care, I am thrilled to share I've accepted a new role as an RN in Cardiothoracic Critical Care at Wythenshawe Hospital with @MFTnhs! Excited to develop my knowledge further!
@amymannn92 @RCN_NI_NRN We have family members make a list of their favourite music and radio stations and try to play when with us. Definitely makes a positive impact!
So proud of myself. On top of my PGCert in critical care nursing, I had undertaken a CPD module in clinical diagnostics that I have now officially completed with distinction (92%). A couple of months to go and I should have my PGCert complete too. Feeling good about the future ❤️
#BREATHTAKING was a hard watch tonight, especially as my first experience of ICU was as an “Aspirant (Student) Nurse”, helping where I could among the chaos.
Three years later… as an ICU Nurse, I’m still getting upset watching the scenes on TV, brings back memories!
And just like that it’s been a year since I moved back to Liverpool and continued my nursing career @LivHospitals. It’s been hard getting to grips with a new environment but I’m happy with where I am at this moment in time ❤️ #CriticalCare#AintreeHospital
The NHS is in crisis.
Patients are unsafe.
Our members are saying loud and clear: enough is enough.
For the first time in the RCN’s history, our members have mandated strike action throughout the UK.
RT to support nursing.

For the past two days, I have been looking after an ICU patient who doesn’t speak English.
Guess what I see as soon as I open their patient diary. A bunch of entries entirely in English… No attempt of any translation.
So today I wrote an entry they would finally understand!
@BACCNUK We have a Ventilation Inpatient Unit (VIC) at our hospital. They setup, optimise and deliver long-term care of patients needing ventilation (via Trachostomy/Laryngectomy, and non invasive methods). This takes pressure off our Critical Care Units.

@vi_c_ky@WeStudentNurse@RCNStudents That’s lovely to hear! Ive only been qualified a year and have been waiting to be allocated my first student. I had great mentors during my training and it’s a pleasure to be allocated my first one, I suppose I’m just nervous of not living up to any potential expectations
So I’ve been asked if I felt comfortable enough to mentor my first student… Obviously I said yes!
Any advice for a new mentor and things students may want/expect from me. I work on a Critical Care Unit in a Major Trauma Centre. @WeStudentNurse@RCNStudents
Nearly a year after I qualified as a nurse… Today, I inserted my first cannula (successfully). Never did I think that as a squeamish child, that I would be happy to see the flashback of blood in the chamber #ICU#NHS#NQN😂💉
