Fun to consider … Logistical issues aside and pretending capacity would remain 60k … If this Super Regional was moved to Mountaineer Field, how many do you think we’d average per game?
If I wasn’t a State fan and was being recruited, you might be able to get me to commit to WVU literally just for this song.
Awesome
From 2019 when State played in Morgantown:
Tennessee AD Danny White made an interesting suggestion last week:
Would a return to something like the BCS formula be a better way to pick College Football Playoff teams?
Thanks to @BCSKnowHow, we have an idea of how that would have looked from 2014-25

@johnantonik on a game that will be forever be remembered by Mountaineer Nation and some historical perspective on WVU Baseball … https://t.co/16uZDzU4Z6
Scrolling my timeline, the national reaction to last night’s game — and the celebration — is giving me mid-2000s WVU football vibes for this baseball team.
We’re the cool kids again.
Now back to work! 💪
Next weekend, Cal Poly or West Virginia is going to play Little Rock or Troy in an opening-round game of the College World Series.
None of those four have ever played in the event. One of those four teams is going to win a game in Omaha.
The entire WVU baseball stadium locking arms and belting Country Roads together was cool as hell.
Authentically theirs.
Those are the moments that crystalize why college sports are so awesome.
At home as what figures to be heavy favorites with just one more opponent standing between the Mountaineers and an opportunity for the ages.
If I’m Coach Sabins, I have the 2007 Brawl playing on a loop all week.
