Took my kids to a birthday party yesterday. The absentee father of a 9 year old was telling his kid that God doesn't exist and she is delusional and her grandparents are delusional.

@tangislive I actively avoid listening to groups of only white people discussing racism. Saves me a lot of headache and also tells me to avoid the brand/platform going forward because they have no interest in an honest discussion with actual substance.

@StudentDocBen They get away with it because there are lots of legitimate problems with the medical and pharma industries that we give cover to while defending the science and efficacy. It feels dismissive to people who tend to trust people that are more relatable and appear to care more.

Five years ago, I spoke at a rally in because transgender students were being attacked. Me with this "I'm the scary transgender person the media warned you about" sign went viral. I wasn't scary at all. I was just a 10 year old being herself.

Teachers could see it too, with unhelpful notes about not reaching my potential.

It always felt like I should be doing more than I was able.
