Freedom, choice, expression, individuality for all. Fell walker, amateur builder. Volunteer Room Steward & Tour Guide. Biological male, not a bigot or hypocrite
Nobody is perfect in the eyes of another. Many mock the taboos of others but do not see their own absurdities seen by others. This in turn creates differences which many cannot accept. Be different, see things differently. Difference brings life.
@LeeAndersonMP_@reformparty_uk Girls & women in trousers, even actual menswear? As a Tory voter this & other comments stops me thinking of Reform Party. I am well accepted in my rural area, even my many volunteer roles as a biological male embracing freedom of choice, expression & individuality as women do.
Your underlying message will, based upon my life experience of society, be largely ignored. Perhaps not about getting outdoors but health, environment & climate. Will certainly hear you again but 2026 tour not in my travel region & you indicate could be the last.
Very good @simon_reeve talk 12th May @DarlingtonHipp Due to my teenage yrs I too took up serious fell walk for the outside life, found it invigorating & good for mental health. Have not got your serious adventurous spirit but do push myself into constant new areas in UK big hills
@sharrond62 If society was accepting of men who break gender stereotypes as it does for women, perhaps the concerns & issues now created would not be so great. I accept some men will exploit. I accept some people genuinely are Trans, the human body is complex but society accepts it for women
@sharrond62 Society cannot cope with your last sentence, but can when it applies to women. I agree with biological sex, safe places & sport but men who embrace freedom of choice, expression & individuality as a man, just as women do, as women are questioned. Society is bigoted & hypocritical
@mindsci Agree but not pronouns including prefixed with Cis. Trans need to respect biological spaces, sports etc. I respect Trans as individuals but expect their respect of others and the likes of me.
I'm all for freedom of choice, expression & individuality. Society does for women.
#MeninSkirts The stupidity of human nature, brainwashes, argues equality via discriminative, sexist, bigoted & hypocritical reasons. In other areas of society too. Clothes do not define a person, the person does. Always Unisex when justifying for women. https://t.co/66U3pL8MUX
@sharrond62 Agree. I am aware that many in that era did not have such privilege, men in trousers, women in skirts as expected of both, could not be as smart as those shown here, yet presentable. An era never to return, 99% of society do not bother now including women in male style clothing.
@sharrond62 My wife says the same with regards women, more so below 'older' age. We both always make ourselves presentable when out. For me if men are to have expected suit & tie I say the same of women, skirt/dress. I will continue my freedom of choice which is not a female only privilege.
@ManKindInit@BBCNews@abcdurbin@ruth_comerford@ONS It's society throughout. A particular 'hobby horse" is peddled with their own objectives. I speak from experience from another aspect, society has an issue with men in skirts but never for women who wear same styles to which men confined to by society. #doublestandards
@jcashroadshow great show tonight (17th Sept) @DarlingtonHipp Interesting comment regarding some boys of today after the song A Boy Called Sue. Never hear similar comments about women who move into mens activities, wear mens clothes, certainly styles of, but that's society.
@OkayBiology I go into mens toilets "with my costume" but I am a man embracing freedom of choice, expression & individuality. I do not deny but accept I am a man, a biological male & respect biological women & their freedom of choice, expression & individuality as women.
@wideawake_media Yes. I'm all for breaking gender stereotypes, social constructs, for either sex but biology is fact, nature, male or female. Gender ID is still male or female! I'm all for both sexes being in harmony but they both need separate spaces at times, eg sports, toilets, changing rooms.
@ArchRose90 A walking hypocrite. Like so many blinded by their own set and non moveable beliefs fail to see beyond their nose end not only their hypocrisy but ignorance of facts.
@sharrond62 Fully agree. Gender stereotypes are society constructs, biological sex is nature, male or female. I will support any with regards stereotypes but biological sex is specific. I am all for men & women being in harmony but both need specific separation at times. Sport being one.
