@unavoidedcrisis@ratherastory Oh hey I'm not dead. Just answered your email, Phnee, and came on Twitter to check if I'd missed anything else. Just haven't found twitter super conducive to good moods lately. Thanks for the concern. <3
@Pinterest Would have been better for my mental health if I didn't have to waste time navigating the lies on your help pages to delete an account I never signed up for. Pinterest is a piece of shit.

@Amuly21 But yeah if you don't know when you'll get petrol in - and in times of disruption petrol runs out *fast* - clearing roads for traffic isn't going to be a priority.
@Amuly21 He figured it was a good use of some of their remaining fuel and their time and energy because eventually order would be restored and they'd need the roads clear for the arrival of help.
@Amuly21 I'm not guaranteeing anything for the series but from the bits I've seen of the comics it's very much 'women are coping with holding society together in the wake of the disaster' not 'well shit without men we're doomed'.
@Amuly21 Like... half the population would be a lot to cope with even if it were random. But it's also true a lot of important fields are male dominated and those are going to be tough problems to solve.
@Amuly21 Google tells me women make up a quarter of the nuclear power workforce. And also, how are they getting to work? The oil industry is very male-dominated, as is the long-distance transport industry. Not to mention virtually everyone's just been bereaved.
