My cat passed away today after about 18 years. Little companion critter I will miss dearly.
I'll post a few pictures and videos of her I had not before. Could not have had a better familiar of a cat.
Farewell Emily.
@sanguinetales@Iris__out@Wokelander_alt3 I don't think they had to wrestle him out of the building as he tired to stop the release of this but considering the other 30 years of publishing, interviews and content citing a blurp from a splatbook isn't indiciative of pondmiths views he's a white supremacist, or a chud.
@sanguinetales@Iris__out@Wokelander_alt3 Written by Ross Winn btw.
No clue how much Pondsmith looked over that one specifically but it's not like he wrote it, unlike the core rulebook.
@turbomander Play CyberpunkRED. 2020 is not bad, but RED is smoother. Read the Core, maybe grab CEMK if you want to do 2077. It's time of the Red (2045) so most players will not know more than you (all that matters.)
Then wing it choom.
blue check mark may just be in it for the love of the grift rather than the game anyway but when I was a fledgeling ttrpg DM I'd sometimes make players roll for no other reason than rolling and learning when to call for rolls and when not made my game 40000x better.
Terminal wargamer or failure to grasp basic tt(RP)g foundamentals. DnD may not be a PbtA vibe, but it can be, it's their table.
So, only roll when failure is meaningful. This means that if a player role plays well, what would rolling add?
Critical Role's Brennan Lee Mulligan ditched D&D's dice in Campaign 4: no roll needed because a PC monologue was "too good."
Performance now overrides actual gameplay.
This isn't D&D. It's scripted celebrity theater pretending to be gaming.
They. Don't Really. Play.
Fertilizer is also cool because Charlotte & Fritz Haber and Carl Bosch are responsible for that.
But also for chlorine gas.
Do you not like chlorine gas? Well you must also hate the fact we do not have to wrestle bat shit off the coast of chile anymore type argument.
I wish I never developed past the techbro optimism that new technology will simply outpace all of our problems.
Sadly, I grew up between farms so I got enough oxygen to my 2 braincells,so I understand the difference between industrialization & w/e the US did to the dust bowl.
โCorporate farming methodsโ are why you donโt have to do backbreaking work as a farmer anymore and why starvation is the exception rather than the rule around the world today
I know I should not engage at all but unc was dragged to the venue and now mooches of free wifi on someones couch so I get to ragepost on this terrible drivel masking as some sort of pseudo intelectual critique of modern morality. Fuck you. Get a grip. Read a book.
Genuinely tired of dogshit takes on Helldivers lore because it's videogame lore and not even written in some complex and nuanced way.
Cyberstan in the most hostile reading is a red & spikey mirror of Super Earths polished white-blue exterior that tricks you into supporting itself
They look evil, because the point is EVERYONE IS EVIL. And when EVERYONE IS EVIL you just pick the side that's less bad. And in our case Super Earth is the only faction fighting FOR HUMANS TO LIVE approximately NORMAL LIVES.
The failing of modern perceptions is they need completely black and white sides, because they just want to pick the white side, it's always about finding the "good guys" as fast as possible. Because rather conceitedly a lot of them just want to be on that side because "The good guys always win."
But when they can't find them they become confused, and showcase they cannot contemplate the deeper elements of conflict and why it happens.
We play the war industrial complex that grinds humans to pointless deaths for self caused and perpetuated problems. Thats it.
Sometimes we do a good thing (childrens hospital) but we also hilariously bomb civilians whenever. They're worth 25 req slips unless VIPs.
