@turbomander Play CyberpunkRED. 2020 is not bad, but RED is smoother. Read the Core, maybe grab CEMK if you want to do 2077. It's time of the Red (2045) so most players will not know more than you (all that matters.)

blue check mark may just be in it for the love of the grift rather than the game anyway but when I was a fledgeling ttrpg DM I'd sometimes make players roll for no other reason than rolling and learning when to call for rolls and when not made my game 40000x better.

So, only roll when failure is meaningful. This means that if a player role plays well, what would rolling add?

Performance now overrides actual gameplay.

They look evil, because the point is EVERYONE IS EVIL. And when EVERYONE IS EVIL you just pick the side that's less bad. And in our case Super Earth is the only faction fighting FOR HUMANS TO LIVE approximately NORMAL LIVES.

The failing of modern perceptions is they need completely black and white sides, because they just want to pick the white side, it's always about finding the "good guys" as fast as possible. Because rather conceitedly a lot of them just want to be on that side because "The good guys always win."

But when they can't find them they become confused, and showcase they cannot contemplate the deeper elements of conflict and why it happens.
