I used to think the scammer was the biggest problem. Then I realized the real shock was the system itself.

How can someone repeatedly file copyright claims against a creator whose videos have Content Protection enabled? How is that even possible?

I paid nearly ₹19,000 for Meta Verified Max, expecting priority support when I actually needed help. Instead, for the last 4–5 days, I’ve been stuck with the same automated response. No real human support. No answers.

I was even expected to deal directly with the scammer—the same person who filed fraudulent copyright complaints and demanded money. No genuine creator should be put in that position.

Just days before this happened, Meta praised my content, I had a Partner Manager, and I even received a call appreciating my work. Today, when my account has been disabled due to fraudulent copyright reports, there is complete silence.

I’ve emailed Meta, submitted appeals, sent DMs, posted on X, uploaded evidence, and even reached out directly to @mosseri. I replied to Adam Mosseri’s posts and stories explaining my situation and also emailed him, but I haven’t received a single response.

If scammers are exploiting a loophole, why hasn’t it been fixed? And if this isn’t a loophole, why are original creators paying the price while fraudulent copyright claims continue to succeed?

Original creators deserve transparency, real human support, and fair investigations—not automated replies and silence.

Hi I am Sumedha , @Meta advised me to contact the copyright claimant. As per @Meta ‘s advise, I contacted the claimant, he made a shocking disclosure: someone allegedly paid him to file copyright claims against my account, and then he demanded USD 2,000 to withdraw the claims. This appears to be an organized copyright extortion and impersonation scam targeting genuine creators.

I took Facebook verification , and talk to the chat support but no help I received from them also,
I provide Meta all evidence supporting my ownership of the original content. Despite this, Meta has failed to conduct a fair investigation and has allowed fraudulent reports to disable a legitimate creator’s account.

And I also DM @Meta , @instagram and @mosseri @finkd about my situation and send them all evidences from my different Instagram handle. But as usual I did not get any reply.

This is not just about one account. If copyright abuse can be weaponized so easily, every creator on Instagram is at risk. I request an immediate independent review, restoration of @thesumedha7, and a thorough investigation into this fraudulent copyright network. Meta must strengthen its verification process before disabling creators’ accounts based on repeated fake claims.

@finkd My Instagram account @thesumedha7 was disabled following 8 copyright reports against content that I created and own.

The reports used variations of my YouTube channel name, TheSumedha14, as the alleged rights owner while listing five different Outlook email addresses that I do not recognize or authorize.

I can provide YouTube Studio ownership records, original video files, raw footage, editing project files, publication history, and all eight Meta copyright removal notices demonstrating my ownership.

A previous content appeal was rejected without resolving the underlying ownership dispute.

@Meta @Instagram, I respectfully request an urgent human account-level review. Please verify the identity and authority of the reporting parties, review my ownership evidence, investigate potential misuse of the copyright reporting system, and restore my account if the reports are found to be invalid.

I am seeking a fair, impartial, and evidence-based review.

My sister’s Instagram account @TheSumedha7 (nearly 1M followers) was disabled after multiple fraudulent copyright impersonation claims on content she created herself.

Meta rejected our appeal and literally advised us to contact the claimant. The claimant then demanded $2,000 to retract the copyright claims.

Is this how genuine creators are protected? Why should victims negotiate with alleged extortionists?

We request an immediate investigation into this abuse of Meta’s copyright reporting system and stronger verification before disabling creators’ accounts.
