@its_Smriti @blackswanwins True. They expect same-day doctor visits & strong antibiotics for minor coughs & ailments. In the West, a GP won't prescribe any strong medicines unless absolutely necessary. At most, she’ll be advised to take an over-the-counter syrup or paracetamol.

NZ everyone gets access to the same care irrespective of financial status. She’s complaining about routine minor cough - if it was urgent she could walk straight into a ED

@thenewsdrill Indian medical systems works for people who have money but not for people who don’t . In the country she’s in everyone irrespective of the status gets treated. If it’s urgent she can walk into a hospital- if its routine & minor cough she’ll get an appointment as per availability
