There Are Four Lights!

You don't have to be serious to do serious good.

@muspelling @MauLer93 I always took it as a nod to MacBeth and the false certainty that he takes in prophecy, particularly the 'none of woman born' prophecy.
How you think it is executed in ROTK is a separate issue, given that in the film we don't know if it's actually true that no man can kill him.

[TerryRooney @TheTerryRooney]

@Glinner @stephenfry When my brother sees/reads a story that confirms his worldview he never fails to mention it to me, and when I mention something that might disrupt his worldview he "must have missed that"
Thats how you stay wilfully ignorant.

[TerryRooney @TheTerryRooney]

@_Islamicat Same energy

[TerryRooney @TheTerryRooney]

@Sargon_of_Akkad Vulkan also did nothing wrong. His is the most tragic story in the HH. When you ask yourself which Primarch you would want to live under if you were transported into the WH universe, the correct answer is Vulkan.

[TerryRooney @TheTerryRooney]

@KonstantinKisin Thats why @michaelmalice has the best twitter account. With one retweet he often simultaneously mocks the opinion expressed in the tweet and lays a trap for everyone who thinks he supports that opinion. Man understands twitter better than almost anyone.

[TerryRooney @TheTerryRooney]

@SarahTheHaider @KonstantinKisin You can have anything you want, but you can't have everything you want. I stole this observation from Chris Williamson.

[TerryRooney @TheTerryRooney]

@AngelinaBlu35 @DM_Maureen_ How many articles did you have to ignore in order to get to the clickbait that called it a sports bra 😂😂😂

Nice cherry picking, must have hurt to have to resort to using The Sun to try and prove your point 😂

Want me to link to their articles saying men can't become women 😂

[TerryRooney @TheTerryRooney]

@Isaac_de_Tormes @BretWeinstein @genX_75 @peterboghossian @MattWalshBlog It's not supposed to impress anyone, I was trying to explain what I think Peters point was. Meanwhile, "normal people" have been completely outflanked by activists who don't wait for elections when they want their ideology imposed. Keep playing catch up, it's worked great so far.

[TerryRooney @TheTerryRooney]

@Texas__Bulldog @Isaac_de_Tormes @BretWeinstein @genX_75 @peterboghossian @MattWalshBlog by two people who know how these games are played and, in Peters case, by someone who has studied their methods to such an extent that he has successfully used their own language against them multiple times.

[TerryRooney @TheTerryRooney]

@Texas__Bulldog @Isaac_de_Tormes @BretWeinstein @genX_75 @peterboghossian @MattWalshBlog What argument would I suggest? That would take a lot of tweets to lay out, and I'm not sure I could do it in such a way that it wasn't open to the very language games I worry about. Thats why I think Peter and Matt should talk, it would be great to see the argument made strong 1/

[TerryRooney @TheTerryRooney]

@Texas__Bulldog @Isaac_de_Tormes @BretWeinstein @genX_75 @peterboghossian @MattWalshBlog It's important specifically if dealing with governments and other large groups who are too easily bamboozled and frightened by woke language games. It's one reason they have won so many victories in culture and legislation. We need to be able to make impenetrable arguments.

[TerryRooney @TheTerryRooney]

@Texas__Bulldog @Isaac_de_Tormes @BretWeinstein @genX_75 @peterboghossian @MattWalshBlog It's good enough for most people, and it should be, I agree with you both here. Peters point as I read it was that these language games are a speciality of those who support that crap and it is important to be able to make the argument stand up to those games.

[TerryRooney @TheTerryRooney]

@BretWeinstein @genX_75 @peterboghossian @MattWalshBlog Forgive me, but I think I know what Peter means. A lot of people know wrong when they see it, but struggle to articulate it in such a way that it can't be countered by the linguistic and rhetorical tricks of those who support such things. This is a game the left plays regularly.

[TerryRooney @TheTerryRooney]

@peterboghossian Vulkan, Primarch of the Salamanders Astartes Legion and one of the most heroic and tragic characters in 40k

[TerryRooney @TheTerryRooney]

@CountDankulaTV She having a UFC section

[TerryRooney @TheTerryRooney]

@Sargon_of_Akkad I suggest a Salamanders successor chapter, colours are close enough and Vulkan is right up your philosophical alley, the true unsung hero of the Horus Heresy and a Demigod to be admired.

[TerryRooney @TheTerryRooney]

@Noncompos @Sargon_of_Akkad Yeah, twice 😉
