My #YA novel is, at least in part, a love letter to #London
I’m particularly taken with #BurlingtonHouse and the incredible library at the Society of Antiquaries, so this building -and the library- feature in my book 💜

@DavidJMarriott Yes. Wrote it as a teen, it never got any further than the paper it was written on until recently when used in as one of my book character’s hit songs which he’d sing live on stage just before being trampled by an elephant. It worked well within the story :-)
Driving to work this morning -
Me - “Siri, play a random song”
Siri - “now playing ‘love will tear us apart’ Joy Division”
Me - “Great song choice Siri”
Siri - Smug silence

The devil makes work for idle hands…
London, 2059
Nine years ago, infamous serial killer, Maddison Bartel dies in a freak accident on his way to
prison.
So why is it that there have been several deaths which bear a striking and chilling
resemblance to Bartel’s crimes?
I thought my novel was ready a year ago, but every time I have a read through, I change bits, delete bits. rewrite sentences, add comas, take commas away. Ahh! When do I stop?
