Instead of representing the club in high esteem, giving directives for the team to attend and collect the awards won, they conspired to carry out this outrage which has only lowered the public image of the institution.
They unnecessarily made themselves the villains.
The recent controversy Real Madrid caused by boycotting the Balon d'Or awards has embarassed me personally as a Real Madrid fan.
Vinicius felt slighted because he didn't win the award, which is understandable, so if he wanted to be absent that was his choice.
As senior authorities in the club, such shortsighted actions were ill advised and those two should have had the experience and prescience to see how erroneous this boycott would have been...
@fosho_Lee@notslicka_333 and i am not making this a man vs woman nor a not all men discussion, as the main point i am trying to get across is relationships are partnerships with both helping each other and adding value. both have to help and will look different depending on the circumstances
@fosho_Lee@notslicka_333 if we were to go by the census data we have, majority of households are headed by men, with men leading employment stats and women leading in the inactive employment stats. we can roughly interpret this a majority of men taking the leadership duties in their families
@fosho_Lee@notslicka_333 i am not disputing that as that was always clear... the issue is with this online narrative that women shouldn't help the men they are in relationships with or that men don't need it... we all exist under late stage capitalism that makes traditional patriachy far most men to have
@fosho_Lee@notslicka_333 and yes... men benefit from patriachy, but if you even examine it not all men actually do to the same extent as there is a capital component of patriachy... not all men benefit, because not all men can perform it, because not all men have the capital too... even that is a
@fosho_Lee@notslicka_333 if you use an example like the construction industry that is still male dominated, women are increasingly finding success there because there is increasing use of technology there to make work more manageable, hence more accessible... that's just one example
@fosho_Lee@notslicka_333 studies have shown that there is a pay gap, but organizations are continuing to make the effort address this. there is still much work to be done. as far physically weaker, in the context earning potential, technology has very much closed that gap...
but all of that is to say that impact to the public can be mitigated... minimised... not eliminated... that goes with better planning and organisation of the design and careful crafting of the contract
being in public service/works as long as i have i understand that there is never an opportune time to undertake work, but instead work is done when the resources are there.
The qoute "don't let perfect be the enemy of good" should really be hung in most public sector offices
if work nah do people will complain... when the work a do people will complain seh the process nuh convenient...
suh big picture and long term, if the resources are available to execute public work do it...
word and wind, and tweets a data at the end of the day...
The authorities have to do better in making alleged victims of these crimes feel safe enough to come forward and make the reports, or we will continue to have victims stay silent, perpetrators walk free among us, and persons thinking vigilantism their only way to get justice.
Watching the Netflix content on the Menendez brothers; it's not the first time i've come across this content on them; but it is a complex case.
We know for a fact that crime was committed by the brothers.
There was an alleged crime committed by the parents.
... we can see where manslaughter would have been the more just sentence...
One of the big take aways from this is how serious accusations of abuse should be taken and encouraging victims to report and talk about these things.
