@CrossCountryUK not ok only allowing people on half your train at busiest time of the day. Expect a delay refund to be honoured for those of us who couldn’t get on
@Mark_J_Harper@Telegraph ‘More choice on how to travel’. So where’s the investment in cycle infrastructure, so more people can choose to cycle safely? Ensuring public transport is affordable so that ppl can choose that? Ensuring our neighbourhoods have less traffic so ppl can choose to walk in safety?
Read our blog about how our climate change resilience officers @climbingpixie & @julietdelittle are investigating how to make @UniversityLeeds more resilient to #climatechange.
They also feature in a new video https://t.co/d0hHhCbcnB. Their findings will be valuable for others
@creativeboom You don’t ‘correct the imbalance’ of Qatar ‘22 by ignoring the death, suffering and inequality it was built on. You do something about it. I presume at the very least any profits from this book will go to charity? Next time pick a tournament that isn’t so shamefully exploitative.
URGENT - we have discovered that KMS Estates Ltd are attempting to fast track demolition of Mappin's Coffee House, bypassing the planning process underway. This important building could be lost in days unless @SheffCouncil intervenes with an Article 4 direction to protect it.

@johnredwood This country is normally pretty good at innovation but the companies and researchers who would have explored (and by now potentially delivered) ‘affordable good alternatives’ would hardly have been motivated, let alone supported, by a party keen to cut ‘all the green crap’
Very sad to see this close - used to enjoy the food and atmosphere in there and it’s a lovely space. It was an @architects_ project during my first year out there and a lovely one to be involved in. Astonishing to think that gorgeous ceiling was once hidden by grid & tiles!
A short thread of appreciation for the Blue Moon Cafe, in Sheffield's Cathedral Quarter, which has closed, suddenly and unexpectedly, after 27 years (citing insurmountable financial pressures).
I’m sure I heard this right getting off the train at #doreandtotley this evening: ‘This is Dore. Change here for London, Scotland and other local and national destinations’. Maybe the new announcement in anticipation of its second platform being built?
This is magnificent @ScarboroCouncil - you have made the nights of all who love wildlife in the UK . Brave , bold and brilliant . A very Happy New Year to you all ! https://t.co/JYA7qKeu4i Please RT , these folks deserve a rich applause !
@tomhfh Not sure what point you’re making here. There *was* European ARM but the British government thought it was good for Britain that it be sold overseas. Also, Google (and to a large extent Apple) would be nothing without the European WWW.
@ArchTesta @AJLangheld@Soktange @KwajoHousing Agree. If you’re thorough about knotty issues in refurbishment such as air-tightness and cold bridging, you’re not likely to throw in the towel at concealing ductwork.
@AJLangheld @ArchTesta @Soktange @KwajoHousing If you believed car manufacturers, nobody was asking for safe cars either in the past. Until MVHR and energy saving are picked up by marketing teams in the way en-suites have been, many buyers won’t have the opportunity to buy a house with a system installed.
