Arsenal plays the highest line in football. Arsenal has their CBs in the final 3rd in possession. No “defensive” team in history would EVER do any of this.

G/A and xG stats have deluded the masses into how a team plays. No team in England and very few in the world are able to consistently break teams the way Arsenal do. Very few are able to get in behind the opponents last line like Arsenal. Very few get the amount of touches and final 3rd possession Arsenal has. Wether that translates into a shot or G/A doesn’t invalidate the actions that led to Arsenal getting into those advantageous positions.
