I have been observing the demolition of illegal structures in Harare and refrained from commenting because I wanted to understand what was really happening.
I am a strong advocate for addressing root causes rather than merely dealing with symptoms.
The first problem lies in our education system, which was not designed for today’s world for the black person.
It was meant for a black person who would seldom own anything requiring a title.
As a result, we have adults with university degrees who do not know the process of purchasing land or a home.
When I mentioned that I bought my first home in Chisipite at 29, many asked where I got the money because they did not understand how the banking system works.
Many do not even have a basic bank account in Zimbabwe and many have never had an automated teller machine (ATM) card in their whole life.
Our education system has failed our people.
Ideally, a 16-year-old should know the process of buying land or a home.
Instead, we have youths spending the day sharing videos of girls doing Bacardi dances, while children of white families are learning how to buy shares on the stock exchange.
The demolition of illegal properties exposes the ignorance that causes people to become victims of such demolitions losing their savings.
Secondly, our people often favour shortcuts, seeking cheap options and corrupt deals like their leader, Emmerson Mnangagwa.
Zimbabwe has become a deeply corrupt society, where people defend criminal activities if they benefit from them.
This, combined with ignorance of the consequences, leads to situations where people end up losing everything.
Building a house requires inspection at every stage, from foundation to roofing. The fact that these inspections did not happen suggests one of two things: either the owners were ignorant of the process, or they knew their actions were illegal.
A third possibilities is that these inspections happened but they were corruptly done.
Thirdly, the councils are run by incompetent and corrupt individuals.
How could so many houses be built without council awareness?
When I applied to build a perimeter wall on my Glen Lorne property, council officials were present on the first day of digging, asking for planning permission papers. How did they miss the construction of these properties, so many of them?
How can the council miss many houses being built illegally in Belvedere while noting a wall being build in Glen Lorne?
Finally, our people’s desire for cheap solutions leads them to avoid involving lawyers in important transactions.
How does one buy such valuable property without legal assistance, unless they know what they are doing is illegal?
I have received hundreds of messages over the years from people asking me to assist them with purchasing property or land.
I always advise them to consult with lawyers or go to the council not me.
We have a corrupt government in power, and the ruling party’s land barons are frequently involved in these criminal activities.
If Mnangagwa wanted to put an end to this, he could do so with the stroke of a pen. However, he does not care because he runs a corrupt political party and regime himself.
He is also a land grabber himself having taken land from councils, but he gets away with it because he is in power.
He is not alone, it is a way of life for ZANUPF elite, it is only these powerless folks whose houses are demolished because the elites steal and regularise their theft.
So the drivers and root causes of this menace are;
1. Inadequate Education System.
2. Prevalence of Corruption.
3. Incompetence and Corruption.
4. Lack of Legal Knowledge.
5. Involvement of the Ruling Elite.
Addressing these root causes will require significant reform, transparency, and accountability across various sectors, from education to local government.
Only through systemic change can the cycle of corruption and illegal construction be broken, and the rights and interests of all citizens be protected.
There's a huge difference between:
• education and intelligence
• knowledge and information
• understanding and memorization
• learning and studying
• ignorance and stupidity
Normalize not thriving.
Life is not always meant to be optimized. We aren’t always meant to feel good. It’s ok to feel down. To self isolate. To have periods of grieving.
Human beings are seasonal.
I was a people pleaser. I wanted everyone to feel love, happiness, and peace. I didn’t want them feeling an ounce of loneliness. I wanted them to know they were special and deserve everything they desire. I didn’t know it would cost me my biggest investment, myself.

Noticed that my aircon wasn’t blowing very cold since its become hot so I took the car to a specialist who said it was the pump thats broken. A new pump is R23100 ex labour, so I fiddled around myself with water & sunlight liquid and found that it was a R49,50 cap needed
It's important to speak to the voiceless. Children who are being over-diagnosed and medicated. People being gaslit that they're sick, not our culture. Women who've been severely abused labeled as personality disordered.
We are still in the dark ages of human understanding.
Never judge a person based on a season. One season David was a shepherd, next he was a king. One season Mordecai was a gateman, next he was a Prime Minister. One season Esther was an orphaned girl living with a relative, next she was a queen. We serve a God who turns things around
It’s easy to pray when times are hard.
It’s hard to stay close to God when times are good.
It’s easy to ask God for help when times are hard.
It’s tempting to take credit for all the success when times are great.
It’s easy to lean on Gods guidance when times are hard.
It’s tempting to take credit for Gods wisdom when things are great.
It’s easy to tell the world about God when times are hard.
It’s tempting to keep it a secret & take credit for your success when times are good.
It’s easy when we have nothing to tell God we’ll give him everything if he answers our prayers.
It’s tempting to forget to pay our debt to God once he answers our prayers.
It’s easy to be grateful when times are hard.
It’s hard to be grateful when you seem to have everything in order.
Too often we rely on God when times are hard yet take credit when times are good.
My life wouldn’t be what it is today without Gods guidance, grace and favor.
Whether you’re in a season where things are great or nothing is going your way, Struve to be close to God!

Meet the mother who held her baby out of the window of a burning apartment so the baby could breathe
Her name is Vanessa Scott, during the fire, she had slid her baby out of a fifth-floor window through the child guard bars so that she could breath and not suffocate on smoke.
When i say “i love you more” i don’t mean i love you more than you love me🥺, I mean i love you more than the bad days ahead of us. I love you more than any fight we’ll ever have. I love you more than any obstacle that will try to come between us🥰 I love you with all my heart ❤️
