Twenty-something year old fck-boys giving dating advice like:
All women are like children. They can't help it because they were made to birth, nurture, and raise children.
WTF?!
You know what IS actually like children?
Our NON-GENDERED trauma responses.
Because a part of us becomes emotionally stunted at certain ages we experienced certain traumas.
She might act out like her five-year-old self whose dad left and never came back when her adult boyfriend is distant and avoidant.
He might act out like his two-year-old self who was neglected and emotionally rejected by his mother when his adult girlfriend asks him to be more present and vulnerable.
If you truly want to be a high-value man and date high-value women, you need to develop a high-value perspective (robust, expansive, critical-thinking, emotionally intelligent).
So PLEASE stop taking dating advice from these kids who have such black-and-white thinking and ZERO understanding of or compassion/empathy for the trauma they are still also operating from.
@StoicMajesty Why does it have to be a game?
Why can't it just be a mature assessment of what is?
Someone made the decision that something wasn't working for them, and someone else is respecting and honoring the decision and boundary.
She could also be saying she finally accepts, loves, and feels safe in her body.
She could also be saying she's in touch with her femininity and the power of her sexuality.
She could also be saying she's overcome her fear of being seen in said femininity, sexuality, and power.
You can't rewrite the things that happened, but changing your relationship to them can definitely heal the past enough to feel as though the story has been rewritten.
You then no longer tell the story of the past through the lens of being a victim to your circumstances.
And can alchemize the pain into telling a victor story and empower your present to create a dream future.
@MatthewCoast I love getting to know people. What their story is. Their unique experience. How they chose to move through life with the cards they were dealt. Why they make the choices they do. Quirks and eccentricities. Seeing their snowflake shape.
Hate carries emotional charge.
She cares enough to still have feelings for you and whatever you are/are not doing.
Indifference is when you should really worry, but I'll venture to say that you don't really want to get to a place where she's upset enough to say she hates you.
That's a slippery slope, and only love is truly love.
I'm currently dating a man who has been divorced twice. Relationships ending (no matter how far they went) is not what should be considered.
Why did they end?
Did they allow the relationship ending to catalyze growth and change?
What kind of person are they now?
These things matter more.
A threat to their victim story! Especially when they aren't willing to yet take responsibility for their life.
People will orbit out; let them.
Some of those people will often later orbit back in once you match frequencies again.
No matter what, you can plant the seed by being the example and keep on keeping on.
Onward and upward, beautiful soul!
@_itsSat You can either look at your current situation as:
A. Existing as a result of your past
B. An opportunity to make the different and necessary choices to take you in the direction of the life you desire
One keeps you in your victim story.
The other makes you the (action) hero.
@byRegie Congrats!
Releasing perceived control and attachment to outcome frees space for thing you were trying to force, to come in with ease.
This applies to anything.
@achrafdevx Wayne Gretzky: You miss all the shots you don't take.
He had the most scores ever.
But also the most misses.
And ultimately, the most attempts.
True! Getting into the topics of:
+ Biodiversity
(no one-size-fits-all approach to anything in life)
and
+ Relative versus ultimate reality
(what's true for you can be different than what's true for someone else and neither is wrong/both can coexist and be held at the same time)
It seems counter-intuitive, but is actually counter-ego... self-care IS caring for others.
Why you put your own oxygen mask on first.
When you give from an empty cup, it breeds resentment and isn't coming from as pure/genuine a place as if you are giving from the overflow.
That's when it's freedom and unconditional.
