@zTxMeta@Dolfijnmanjohns@Bruva_Beard Oh, wow I never noticed before, I just remembered the beginning where the civilians are mentioning explosions at D6 and Miller referring to the battle, I never even considered how it still slots in nicely lol, thanks!
@zTxMeta@Dolfijnmanjohns@Bruva_Beard I alway assumed they just retconned, because if that was true then there would be no reason that D6 was lost, as the loss implies that the explosion happened and the Dark ones never came? Because if the good ending was canon, D6 wouldn’t have been lost. Unless I missed something?
@Dolfijnmanjohns@Bruva_Beard From what I can tell, mixing both knowledge and game, since the exploding of the D-6 bunker is canon (meaning Artyom taught the little dark one revenge above all means) I would assume that the dark one’s broken Hunter to the point of being a tool for their revenge, maybe?
@laikayips I agree, we lost yet another super easy major order (in my honest opinion) and now we’re getting punished with 0.0 liberation continuously lmao, I can confirm if I’m right once I arrive home
When you actually look into what you’re playing, what it’s about and the CONTEXT of why certain events or enemies happen, it stops being “but they did this and that” and “oooh.. that, makes a lot of sense actually.. erm..”
I’ve been seeing a lot of back and forth on Helldivers in terms of “so and so is the bad guy” and have any of you considered that each of them is both bad and good?
The Terminids are an exception because, bugs, they’re just bugs doing their basic function.
Meanwhile, Coretta Kelly describes it as just them running away in retreat, and with that brainwashing, subliminal message stuff they play on the Super Destroyer? Trying to change history so they aren’t embarrassed at an incorrect fact, which would cause doubt, “dissidence.”
The Illuminate are evil outright, but it just comes from a century long hatred of evil and hate done against a peaceful race that resulted in a damn near complete genocide, which even SE lies about, as the.. Ship Master? Mentions that she was taught it was a 100% erad.
The bots aren’t evil exactly, it’s quite literally just a matter of their own survival, and the unfortunate needs they need which does require the deaths of others. Would you not kill someone, even if it GUARANTEED your survival, ensured it beyond all doubt like Food?
In short because, I’ve just been yapping on an event I’ve been seeing on Twitter “muh media literacy and meh meh meh” YES. Super Earth is bad, undeniably so. The Bugs aren’t bad because they’re just wild cattle, the Democracy Officer states that practically in his dialogue.
The Cyborgs tried, and will die. The sentience of the machines they use, which Super Earth now refer to as “slaves,” continues to push the hypocrisy of Super Earth, wanting to get their slaves back for themselves and the ore planet they genuinely don’t even really need.
