I grew up in the Novus Ordo. I made my first (invalid) confession, received (invalid) Holy Communion, and was (invalidly) confirmed.

Here is a partial list of things they NEVER mentioned from the pulpit or in catechetical instruction:
• Hell & Purgatory
• The distinction between venial and mortal sin
• The strict necessity of prayer
• Devotion to Our Lady and the Saints
• Transubstantiation
• The Mass as a Sacrifice

Instead, I saw guitars, clapping, and immodesty in dress. The entire service focused on feeling (the melody for the Our Father was particularly emotion-oriented). No one ever explained the Creed; no one ever taught anything relating to faith and morals. My parish was considered "conservative," so I cannot even imagine what a "progressive" one would look like.

The new religion of Vatican II has nothing to do with Roman Catholicism.

Yet, if we listen to "Catholic influencers," we are supposed to believe that nothing has changed, or that the popes who gave us Vatican II were just "imperfect," although they demand we recognize them as canonized saints (!).

If you do not flee from the modernists who have taken over our institutions, you are one with them. You are part of the apostasy, even if you attend the TLM. In the midst of this storm, only those who wholly preserve the Catholic Faith and seek valid and LICIT (non una-cum) sacraments will manage to persevere. We have never seen such great chaos, but those who love the Truth will not be confounded.

Vatican II is evil. The people who gave us Vatican II are evil and do not represent God. The clergy and faithful who knowingly and willingly accept Vatican II as the teaching of the Church are apostates, no matter how much good faith they may have.

At present, Canada is not going to integrate or assimilate millions of recent immigrants and their children because it has neglected this objective for more than five decades.

Today, the traditional calendar celebrates St. Dominic, the great founder of the Order of Preachers. He exhausted himself through radical poverty, fasting, and rigorous theological preaching for one explicit purpose: the conversion of heretics to the one true Catholic Faith.

Contrast this burning apostolic zeal with the modernist rupture of the Vatican II religion, which endlessly dictates that we must never "proselytize"—treating the divine command to convert souls as if it were a sin against charity.

St. Dominic did not seek to "accompany" the Albigensians in their errors, nor did he search for shared values in their heresy. He fought to save their souls from eternal ruin by drawing them into the sole Ark of Salvation.

This is one of the most bittersweet moments of our lives.

Our son-in-law was laid off in Winnipeg a few weeks ago, his company closed down in Canada. He is 33, a software engineer, and he and our daughter have a new baby.

Now Roblox has recruited him to Silicon Valley. Our daughter will be able to stay at home with our granddaughter, which she would not have been able to do in Winnipeg, like most working parents we know. A huge plus, considering the woke goofball education systems everywhere in the West.

We are proud of him. He earned this. It is an extraordinary opportunity for their young family.

But my wife and I are crushed.

We spent our lives building in Manitoba. My wife ran a Lab and Imaging Unit. I ran businesses, farmed through brutal weather, survived terrible government policy, cared for aging parents, raised our family and contributed to our community. Farming was not merely hard. It was years of risk, sacrifice and uncertainty, with governments constantly making life more difficult for the people who actually produced something.

Now Canada is losing another highly skilled young worker because the opportunities are better somewhere else.

Mark Carney and Wab Kinew can talk all they want about growth, innovation and compassion. People live with the results, not the speeches. Winnipeg cannot compete for talent when taxes are high, productivity is weak, investment leaves, wages lag and essential services fail.

COVID was already more than I can forgive. Families were divided, businesses were damaged, children lost years, peaceful protesters were treated like enemies, and the politicians responsible still speak as though they acted with perfect wisdom.

Then there is healthcare.

My wife had a stroke. It took three years to find out what had happened. Vision problems. Three years of waiting, confusion, worsening symptoms and watching someone you love struggle while a supposedly world-class public system, that she worked hard in for 40 years, moved at a crawl.

That is not compassion. It is institutional failure.

So yes, this move is bittersweet. I am proud of our children and angry at the country they feel they must leave. They are going where talent is valued, work is rewarded and healthcare is part of the employment package.

Carney and Kinew should be ashamed of the country and province they are helping to govern. Their policies have consequences. Families pay them. Patients pay them. Workers pay them. Grandparents pay them.

We moved to Winnipeg from rural Manitoba to be closer to our daughters. A plane trip to our olderst daughter in BC and a walk down the street to our youngest daughters home.

We are allowed to grieve this. We’ll miss birthdays, spontaneous visits, and having our grandchild just down the road. At the same time, this move will give our daughter and grandson financial security that lasts for decades.

My wife and I spent much of our lives trying to give the next generation better choices than we had. Ironically, that success will mean watching them build their future somewhere else. We will miss our daughter, son-in-law and grandchild terribly, we could just walk down the street to see them… now it will be more flights.

And I will never forgive the people who helped make leaving Canada the only sensible choice.

Tucker & Shawn: Jumping From One Foot to the Other

There's a mistake some people on the right make when they're emerging from the chrysalis of mainstream conservatism... they start to believe silly things.

Yes, mainstream conservatism has failed. Maybe it was always supposed to. Maybe it was only there to make that percentage of the population most likely to have a large gun collection feel like they were represented.

In any event, it's dead. MAGA tried to take its place, but for whatever reason, Trump couldn't discern between MAGA and MIGA.

Tucker Carlson and Shawn Ryan have been very visible representatives of this shift away from the mainstream GOP and business-as-usual cuckservatism. It's been encouraging to watch.

Yes, I think they're authentic.

No, I don't think they're psy-ops. Why? It's very simple; you can always discern a psy-op by its Telos--the end goal that it is clearly seeking to move people toward.

If the end goal is oppositional to the establishment, it's not a psy-op.

I think Tucker and Shawn are exactly what they appear to be; Gen X guys who were making a shit-ton of money pushing the establishment narrative, and have now very publicly gone against it.

Some of you will claim they're still making a lot of money and I'm sure that's true. But it didn't start that way. I know exactly what happens to my following whenever I post a single comment critical of Trump.

For them, it would mean losing hundreds of thousands or even millions, not a thousand or two.

So they're critical now, re-examining all of the assumptions that many people still hold. That's good. That's great. But what you don't want to do is start to make poor assumptions about [Y] just because you have realized that [X] is untrue.

Take Israel for example.

Both Tucker and Shawn have realized that Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud government is behaving like one of the totalitarian governments of the 20th Century.

The duuuuuh wing of the right is cheering whenever Ay-rabs are incinerated, so to make them realize this behavior is actually objectively BAD requires showing them how the survivors will inevitably wind up fleeing to the West, psychologically scarred and looking for payback.

The Israelis have encouraged them to relocate, as it means it will not need to deal with them.

Yes, it's awful what the Israelis have done and continue to do in the Middle East. But what you don't want to do, as I've seen both Tucker and Shawn flirt with, is make out like the other side, the Muslim regimes, are innocent, doe-eyed victims.

I would say that Iran is the closest thing to a victim in this situation, as they'd done fucking nothing to justify what was done to them. But even then, you shouldn't take the mindset that they're innocent or to be sympathized with.

If they're not YOUR people, don't sympathize with them. That's the Golden Rule of survival in a very ruthless world.

Is Tucker and/or Shawn taking money from Qatar? No, I don't think so. I just think they're making the same mistake liberals AND conservatives make when they look at the Israeli/Palestine conflict. They think it's a sporting match and they pick a side.

Neither side is worth picking, guys.

Pick YOUR side. America and its true allies. The ones who have bled with us in the mud.

Not Israel's. Not the Palestinians. Both of them choose their side, and they will appeal to you for your help.

Don't give it to them. It just prolongs the conflict. Starve them of money and arms and watch how quickly all sides are forced to the diplomatic table.

I like Tucker and Shawn, but when I hear them saying things like they regret ever becoming a SEAL, because of how awful we are, I think they've allowed their emotions to override their reason.

We are not running around the world creating peace and democracy. Quite the opposite. And now, the tyranny is at our doorstep. Love or loathe her, what @pearlythingz is doing is really good in the sense that she's making people question how truthful they're being with themselves and how strictly they're keeping to their faith.

Women should obey their husbands. Especially those who call themselves Christian. A family is a hierarchy and like any hierarchy there will always need to be a leader. Men have the right mixture of temperament, patience and courage for this.
