Efforts to hold Israel accountable for its violations of international law (war crimes, genocide etc) has taken a major step forward.

The Hague Group meeting this year is attended by government representatives of more than 40 countries, including speeches by a European FM for the first time (Norway).

And the meeting is taking place in the Trusteeship room at the UN headquarters itself.

Meeting is chaired by South African FM Ronald Lamola. Brazilian FM will also speak, among others.

And this is not just about Israel. It's about the centrality of international law - and the inescapable necessity of its enforcement!
