"Forgive me father for I have sinned."
"Go on my son."
"This week I accidentally referred to Bitcoin as Bitcoin and not Spamcoin as instructed."
“You are forgiven. This time. Now go say an Our Father Luke, a Hail Kratter and a Glory Be to Mechanic.” 😂
⚠️ Rumor circulating in the XBT Bitcoin Knots mining community: There’s talk that regular Stratum pool miners on Blake2B XBT may potentially be excluded from future payouts, with the devs reportedly considering (radically) a Datum-nodes-only approach.
If true, that could mean miners who spend the next 45 days mining won't receive their payout. 😬
Nothing is confirmed but this might happen... they want this to happen.
@TwhitNub101@SpectrGen This is an honest question... are they doing something to mined coins now so that they are not spendable for a determined amount of time? I am having a very hard time keeping up with all of their shenanigans 😆
@JoeCarlasare@cguida6 These idiots are gonna die on that hill... nobody can take these morons or this project seriously anymore. Hostility, aggression and threats of doxing are you freaking kidding me?🤣
That is what I find truly problematic about the whole thing; as an outsider who comes from an academic research background and is wired as a critical thinker.
The governance system is intended to largely be facilitated within the confines of their discord server. However, they vigilantly eliminate anyone in there who doesn't firmly adopt their ideologies and directly align with them. They are actively reaping and culling anyone with an even slightly opposing viewpoint in that discord server.
They want to then conduct their voting and protocol guidance decision making with that small cohort lol. Cguida refers to this as being more "nimble" actually. In research, this is called selection bias.
There is actually a strong case to be made that this is effectively the same guiding principle behind the DATUM implementation. One could argue that they actually don't want true decentralized decision making but rather slightly distributed decision making that is only done by a cohort of tech savvy node operators. Educating miners how to run a node and SOLO mine with DATUM would be the source of truth against that and that is not observable in a material way as far as I can tell. They are not actively trying to educate users in DATUM. They are fine with only their centralized power wielders having that ability.
I find the whole thing wildly interesting 😅 but without serious introspective I think it will be the death knell for these guys. No one will take this seriously as a bitcoin replacement ever with these kind of shenanigans in place. Fun to watch though.
I am embarrassed I got sucked into supporting bip110/Blake2b. Now seeing what hostile liars they all are. At least I never accused anyone of being a pedophile That being said Im still not running a Core node. We need another option.
If miners control the network, it is effectively a Proof of Stake network. No longer one node, one vote, but rather he who controls the most hash wins. Since hash is hardware, he who controls the most capital wins. Since our fiat overlords have infinite capital, he who controls the money printer controls Bitcoin. That is the state of Sha256 right now.
@RedPandaMining Unless you were in the inner circle...who could have seen this coming? It COULD have been a very solid project. And from every angle in the beginning it sure did look like it was gonna be😳
Kraken: "Yes. How can we help you?"
Blake2b'er: "We want to list with your exchange"
K: "Ok. What's the name?"
B: "Bitcoin."
K: "Sorry. We already have Bitcoin."
B: "No. We're the REAL Bitcoin. Don't make me call Luke!"
K: "Get the fuck out of our office." 😂
