I'm having trouble understanding #HarmReduction deniers' logic and ethics.
To them:
What's on the left is a public health crisis
What's on the right is now grandfathered in
Reminder: There IS a cash prize of nearly $10,000 for evidence of even ONE death on the left.
We know cigarettes WILL KILL US.
We are unsure whether vapes MIGHT be bad for us in one or two MINOR ways. (NO DEATHS from vaping nicotine ever)
Why is vaping vilified?
Why isn't vaping recognised as an effective way to stop smoking? (60-70% effectiveness)
🤮 🤢 🤮 🤢 🤮 🤢 🤮 🤢 pardon me as I throw up abit on this spin.
Just an FYI- Canadians
Cynthia Collard from Physicians for a smoke free Canada is leading the working group on how to sue tobacco companies in other countries tries.
Also Rob Schwartz from @OTRUnews is heading another working group.
Let’s be clear- all these Tobacco Companies Lawsuits are about keeping people smoking combustibles.
@papaioannoy@OTRUnews They're jumping on the money wagon asap before the well dries up. Almost as if they're, dare I say, in a state of panic over dollars not health? 🙄
Well would you look at that @markholland@YaaraSaks Flavoured vaping products are legal in NZ & not only are smoking rates declining (drumroll please)so are youth vaping rates. Perhaps you should peek at NZ's exam paper. Just a suggestion.

We were live from Ottawa this morning discussing the future of Canada’s vaping industry, harm reduction, and why flavour restrictions are the wrong approach.

@cheeky_monkey01@smokelessworld@AlboMP This happened to me too and the government just made it harder for me to quit in my own way.
The Australian government also made a whole generation of young people become criminals but taking previously legal nicotine products and making them illegal.
I have never enjoyed making a video more. Head over to our TikTok and make your own. https://t.co/fhhX2XDVai don’t forget to tag us in it!! @rights4vapers
We keep writing. One day, maybe we will get a response. This one is interesting. In all the debate about flavours, the proposed list of allowable ingredients will also devastate vaping in Canada.

“Just as you would not encourage an alcoholic to drink dealcoholized beer or wine, we should not be limiting the options of vapour products to tobacco, mint and menthol.”
Take a moment to read and share our open letter to the Treasury Board Committee!👇🏼

Dear @YaaraSaks, this letter comes to you from @Protectaxpayers. Take a moment to consider the detrimental & inevitable repercussions of a flavour ban.
This might be a political move for you, but for Canadians it is a matter of rights, life, & death.

🤩 We hit 15K!
Next goal: 20K by the end of this week 🤔
Spread the word!
Bring awareness!
Educate those around you!
The time to act is NOW!
If you see a fellow vaper on the street, stop & ask them if they’ve submitted their letter. It’s all about community.
Link in bio.
if they are marketed to middle and high schoolers, THEY ARE FAILING...... If vaping use is going up it is because ADULTS are switching from smoking to vaping. Teen usage is down over 70% to 5.9% in 2024 according to the CDC NYTS. WHO IS BUYING VAPING DEVICES??? ITS NOT THE TEENS. ITS NOT THE TEENS BUYING CIGARETTES NEITHER. A huge 2.8% of teens across the country are SMOKE FREE UNDER 5% according to the WHO standard.
@KulikovUNIATF Like the WHO celebrating Vietnam banning vapes when the Vietnam govt owns majority of the major tobacco firm that will be direct beneficiary of said ban
Your war on vapes is basically protecting BT and killing people. You HAVE to know this
Tell us again, how much u hate BT
