@CityofPerth @BasilZempilas Another case-in-point incident (link to video at bottom of post) that demonstrates why a white line does zero to protect vulnerable road users (bikes, e-bikes and scooters). Riding north up Barrack Street early yesterday afternoon & I very nearly got cleaned up by the red Hyundai when he decided to cut into the bike lane so as not to be delayed by a turning car.
I can guarantee that with properly separated lanes (like on Roe St) far, far more will ride in the city which is great for business & will mean less congestion.
(apologies for the colourful language - adrenaline levels were understandably very high!)

PS: Plenty of other incidents in @CityofPerth are logged by others on the Upride website.
