Texarkana Pleasant Grove vaults to the top of the most attractive small school job openings in #txhsfb
There's a strong internal candidate in DC Jonathan Darby who is my guess if they stay in-house but if the job gets opened I think there will be no shortage of strong candidates
We are excited to formally introduce Coach Julian Mendez as the program’s next offensive coordinator. During the 2022 season, Coach Mendez has done an exceptional job working with our tight ends and assisting with the offensive line. He also has been in charge of the recruiting process which has led to players signing with UTPB, Dakota State, and Hardin Simmons. He brings a wealth of football knowledge and experience from his time as an offensive coordinator, assistant head coach, and positional coach at Ottawa University, Northeastern State University, and Ellsworth Community College. #GoBigRed #BronchoNation #WestSideBestSide
If BadAss OL coaches were in charge this would be the state of football in America in 2023: 1) All fragrant late hits on QB’s would result in brawl…every OL who didn’t participate would be kicked off team for life 2) Every game without 50% run plays called would result in OC being fired and forced to move out of the community for shame 3) 10 screens a game( including fast and bubbles and jails and PlayAction must be called by rule 4) Quarterbacks NIL money must be equally split amongst OL and OL coach 5) Head coach will be “ cut block” on sideline by OL coach every time he calls 4 straight drop-back passes 6) Every-time a QB complains publicly about OL the OL immediately gives the “lookout “ code word to each other during a game and whiffs all the blocks…they then look at QB and say “ now u have something to complain about” 7) Everytime a DL uses “ hands to the throat” of an OL the OL uses code word “ACL” and all OL take a shot at the DL knee 5 plays straight…And now we finally have rules that favor OL!! Games without challenge and tension aren’t interesting. Same with life.
Adversity and uncertainty are two of the biggest shapers of meaning and significance. Without them, it feels empty.
