Last night, Purple Daily was recognized w/ a Service to America Award in Washington, D.C. — to honor the work YOU ALL, our amazing audience, did to help raise money in the aftermath of the Annunciation Catholic School shooting last year.

This was a cause that hit very close to home for our guy @DexsTweets.

While we all feel a little uncomfortable receiving recognition in the wake of a horrible tragedy, it is ultimately a reminder that we — Purple Daily, the @skornorth family of podcasts + listeners — are all part of something bigger than just a sports team or a podcast. We are a community. And we should continue to wield these platforms to help people who need it.

You consistently respond whenever we bring causes to the podcasts. And for that, we greatly appreciate you.
