Some brilliant old film showing workers constructing the iconic Tyne Bridge (1925–1928).

Designed by Mott, Hay and Anderson and built by Dorman Long, this steel through arch bridge has a main span of 161.8m.

Officially opened by King George V on 10 October 1928.
