@JustineeeJo I guess the movement started there as a way of standing in solidarity with the injustice. I got that from an insta post/ quick google search so I could be wrong, but that’s about as far as I got with it

@JustineeeJo It has to do with women’s rights in Turkey. I guess there are almost no consequences for killing women and b&w pictures are used in the obituaries for these women who are murdered. The killers are not charged and the government is trying to remove legislation that protects women.
