@lmm2996 I had been kicking and screaming for less horsepower with a tiny rear spoiler for a while. It's how Superspeedways worked for years in the Gen 6 era, and they were fine. I do think a smaller spoiler and a tiny bit less HP than what we're getting would be better, but I digress.
@joe_srigley I think it depends on how quick the race can finish. We got most the first half done and really no one did anything too brave. But the field stayed clumped up in stage 2 and fewer cars lost the draft. So it reallly depends on how brave the drivers are.
@jeff_gluck Tied the NASCAR record.
Explain why this series deserves 2 dates at Atlanta?
They've never been able to drive here without having a wreckfest.
@sportscarfan96 Cuz it’s harder to schedule a season centered around December/January with a June finale than it is having June in the center and all the races centered around it.
@bobpockrass I know it's just how the schedule works out so nothing is clashing with one another, but it's super weird having qualifying for O'Reilly at 11:00, and then the track goes dormant until 4:30 for Cup Qualifying.
@bobpockrass Would just make sense for everyone to have the ability to change the radiator. Especially with the bumper changes at the short tracks, one wrong hit and you bust the radiator and your day is done? Surely it should be a DVP rule since it's a quick fix and not super expensive.
@ByMHarrington I just don't understand how they don't even pick swap. Sabres now are having cap space available, and plenty of draft capital to do whatever they want...
I can't even fathom how Chicago saw this as a good deal, even if Byram is great and Greenway is solid.
@SouthSoundMSP@Ghostin6550@GregVorse It’s over 5000 yards when people struggle to even get close to that with 17 games. The modern league just makes that an unfathomably large number, and pretty much a sign of a flawed offense.
@Apple_Jimmy4 @Toby_Christie They can. Hell, they should’ve ran the 67 car this year full time unchartered. The only reason he misses races as an open car if he ran every race if he had some serious bad luck.
@matt__sox@TK1922_@RacingTerritory Thing is about those races with more than 40 cars, as long as he doesn't qualify like garbage he's fine. Because he'll have way more owners points than everyone, he automatically is ahead of them on the totem pole to get in even if he qualifies below some open cars.
@FlaredFender@Rowdy_70 Yes. Random draw is the best way to go. No one is guaranteed to go last or first cuz they either had a bad result the previous week or not. It’s truly random. Conditions are not always better or worse for better or worse cars, evens the playing field.
@NascarTide10@bobpockrass I mean to be fair it doesn’t get dark until almost 9 there. So even when this race is over it’s still gonna be light out for a good while. Even considering taking long traffic jams out.
@jeff_gluck "Evaluated and release from infield care center" may not mean he's fully fine, but it does mean he's not badly hurt. Which is a good sign. Given the hit, too, that was brutal.
@autosport Not even just Mercedes, it’s any big brand in general. Audi especially was nuts because they were able to support Lamborghini and themselves and make excellent cars. The best selling cars outside of maybe Porsche on the grid. It’s such a waste for them to dump the GT3 program.
