Launching Ekho Labs (YC S26), the Decision Engine for Supply Chains.
Companies with global supply chains lose money to every disruption - strikes, tariffs, wars
Ekho makes sure they don't.

The reason Scott Alexander is/was inportant? It’s not that he’s smarter than other smart people; smart people online are a dime a dozen. It’s that there are certain basic weaknesses that nearly everyone has — but he lacks.
Namely:
at his best he’s completely unbothered by engaging in good faith with views he disagrees with.
He’s completely fine with flagging the parts of his thought process that he’s not confident in.
He likes to work hard and write a lot.
These are the things that have set him apart.
I saw a post that was like
“dudes meet their wife on hinge and get their jobs off of indeed and wonder why their life is slop”
and I genuinely had to take a 20 min lap to think about it
This is a great example of a perverse form of adhominem bias. It’s tempting to discredit knowledge when the author sucks as a person, even worse when he fails at the thing he teaches irl.
However, knowledge must be judged by itself, not by who teaches it.
The man who wrote "How to Save Your Marriage" in the U.S.? He shot his wife... and posted the photo on Facebook. Dale Carnegie - the legend behind "How to Win Friends and Influence People"? He died completely alone. Benjamin Spock, who sold millions of books on parenting? His own sons tried to put him in a nursing home. Maria Montessori, the world- famous teacher? She gave her own son away to foster care, so she could dedicate herself to other people's children. And a Korean author who wrote the bestseller "How to Be Happy"? She hanged herself, after years of depression. What does this tell us? That the people writing self-help manuals... often couldn't save themselves. Coaches. Gurus. Trainers. Influencers. They sell answers to life. They were just as lost as everyone else. Maybe even more.
Their own tools weaponized in the other direction, but the basic principle still applies. Cancel culture shouldn’t happen, no matter how retarded the comment.
After years of complaining about cancel culture, the current administration has taken it to a new and dangerous level by routinely threatening regulatory action against media companies unless they muzzle or fire reporters and commentators it doesn’t like. https://t.co/uts7JpJZzN
I obsessed with perfecting my back posture during the WHOLE movement of deep body squats. Once I achieved that, it started permeating to other exercises and my daily life.
if you had bad posture (both when walking / working) and you permanently fixed it, reply what you did, what content you followed, what habits you had
if you did not fix or never had bad posture but give advice, make a disclaimer
“Some pathologies are best treated with epistemic correction, not just medication or emotion regulation. Belief revision can be a form of healing.”
Correct AF.
Some mental disorders begin with a simple factual error about how the world works.
For example, let's say a woman believes, which was a popular assertion in 2000s magazines, that a normal female needs 1200kcal a day as a catch-all nutritional “standard”:
1. The woman believes “1200 kcal is the correct daily intake.”
2. That belief informs her eating behavior; she aims for this goal.
3. Her body (via metabolic, psychological, and hormonal mechanisms) resists this, as it should.
4. Her interpretation of the resistance is shaped by the same false belief (“I’m failing,” “I’m overeating,” “I’m weak”).
5. She now has to eat even less or compensate otherwise for the "failure" (in fact, her body doing the right thing).
6. The recursive loop intensifies.
7. Eventually, you have a full cognitive, emotional, physiological, behavioral pathology sustained by one false idea.
Some pathologies are best treated with epistemic correction, not just medication or emotion regulation. Belief revision can be a form of healing.
Yes, there is overlap with Aaron Beck’s ideas, though the focus here departs in important respects.
While a long list of worldly falsehoods can lead down the road of mental illness, when it comes to philosophical ideas and entire worldviews, the damage can be much worse.
@PstafarianPrice The “Logic” of social interactions runs on outdated biological instincts plus cultural norms. For some people, gift-receiving generates a sense of reciprocity plus there are also social mechanisms enforcing the reciprocity. You can quit the game, but with potential drawbacks
@itsme_urstruly Permanent life style changes:
- exercise intensely at least 3x per week
-fasting (aim for 1 meal a day, since it is for life, not as strict)
- keto-leaning diet
Rationalists blocking the likes of Andrew Tate are dumb AF. MF is more instrumental than you will ever be, epistemology is worthless if you don’t act. Rationality should all be about absorbing “powers you know not”, instead of falling to a childish as hominem and discarding power
