One of my favorite gifts I ever received! My old supervisor at River Adventure gave me this at my oldest sons baby shower 7 years ago. He opened the parks in Orlando, Japan ,and Singapore. The only time I was ever excited someone gifted me socks!
Mickey Mouse-shaped grates can be found around trees in Chicago. Why? Is the city low-key celebrating being Walt’s birthplace? Some say they’re standard tree expansion grates. Others claim Disney sold overstock cheaply. It feels totally random!
‘TOY STORY 5’ overperformed and earned $312M in its opening weekend at the worldwide box office.
• The biggest of the year.
• The biggest for a Pixar film.
it’s so cool to me that we as human beings can tear up for something so outrageous like a bunch of talking toys getting perished in a trash incinerator.
movies are fucking beautiful man.
The Universal Kids Resort discussion really shows how many people have never seen a Legoland or Sesame Place. These are day trip parks that cost 1/4 of a Magic Kingdom or Epic Universe ticket. It’s not the same product. Like comparing a Porsche 911 to a Honda Civic.
Saying prayers for everyone personally victimized by universal Hollywood security. They have to take their keys out of their pocket to see a movie now. 🥲🥲 I hope they can make it through these tough times.
James Gandolfini died 13 years ago today on June 19, 2013, from a heart attack at the age of 51 while vacationing in Rome, Italy. The world has been a shittier place since the day we lost Gandolfini- there is no other way for me to put it.
Next to Kobe Bryant, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Prince & Michael Jackson, Gandolfini’s death is one of the most shocking celebrity passings I’ve ever seen. Hearing of Gandolfini’s passing stopped me in my tracks.
I never met this man. He probably had zero clue I even exist. But does any of that matter? Gandfolfini was an artist who hit me right between the eyes. He gave everything to his craft. I know this post probably sounds emotionally off-the-rails but that’s how I feel: it’s not fair Jim is no longer with us.
Cinema is, was, and always will be James Gandolfini.
Nobody is saying the park is above criticism but some of the loudest criticism is coming from people w/o young kids or had no intention of visiting anyway.
When people say “it’s not for you,” they’re not saying “kids will like anything”, they’re saying let the families decide.
Having to actually explain to someone in 2026 that violence can and does happen where people congregate is wild??? I feel safe at universal orlando & I LOVE THAT. Security theater or not. Pulse shooter cased disney springs and wdw and didnt go there cuz SECURITY.
All of us here in Orlando do this if we’re seeing a film at CityWalk. Seriously I don’t think the lines are going to be as bad as most think it will be.
Between grown ass adults complaining about a regional children’s theme park and outrage over having to go through security to go see a movie at a theme park entertainment district, I really need people to reevaluate their lives and think to themselves “…does any of this matter?”
Without Eisner Era taking risk we wouldn’t have gotten
-DAK
-Disney Channel
-Rock N Rollercoaster
-More projects than I can count
Everyone says they want innovation, okay, then some projects are going to bust. Sorry. That’s the name of the game.
