Electricity is a basic necessity, not a luxury. Paying up to ₹37/unit for electricity raises serious questions about planning, procurement and accountability.

5 questions demand answers:

- Why were tenders issued so late?
- Why did Andhra Pradesh and other states reportedly secure electricity at lower rates?
- Were cheaper alternatives explored?
- What is the actual additional cost to taxpayers?
- Did the cancellation of DMK-era tenders affect power availability or procurement costs? What evidence supports this?

DMK's failure to build adequate generation capacity cannot excuse shortcomings in forecasting and procurement.

Governance isn't about blaming the past. Publish the data, explain the decisions and fix accountability. The public deserves answers, not excuses.
