Trump on Taiwan:
When you look at the odds, China is a very, very powerful, big country. That’s a very small island.
Think of it; it’s 59 miles away. We’re 9,500 miles away. That’s a little bit of a difficult problem.
If you look at the history, Taiwan was developed because we had presidents that didn’t know what the hell they were doing. They stole our chip industry.

Araghchi’s tweet reflected an understanding in Tehran, likely based on what they heard from Pakistan, that if they took a positive step by opening Strait of Hormuz, US would reciprocate by lifting the blockade. But Trump kept the blockade in place, and through his many tweets, suggested that Iran was surrendering on the nuclear issue.
This has only fed Iran’s suspicions about Trump and that Islamabad like Geneva is a diplomatic ruse before another military attack. The door to diplomacy is not closed, but it has now become considerably more difficult. Deliberately or not, Trump has undermined diplomacy and raised likelihood of more war.
BREAKING: President Trump says Iran has 48 hours to open the Strait of Hormuz or "all hell will reign down on Iran."
"Remember when I gave Iran ten days to make a deal... time is running out," Trump says.
5 minutes before Trump’s announcement:
* $1.5B notional worth of S&P500 (ES) futures are bought in a single clip.
* $192M notional of oil futures (CL) sold.
More than 4x-6x any other trade size during the market close.
Insiders profited from his lies in broad daylight!
At the current pace, US mortgage rates will be back above 7% in a matter of days.
The bond market is out of control.
This is a MUCH bigger problem than oil.
@BulletBear13 1.5% net d’impôts vs 3.04% à flat tax à 31.4% + frais de passage d’ordre à l’achat (pas énorme mais tout de même) et moins de liquidité.
Pas fan d’opposer les deux !
President Trump over the last 36 hours:
Friday, 3:40 PM ET: "I don't want to do a ceasefire with Iran."
Friday, 5:15 PM ET: The US is "considering winding down" the war with Iran.
Today, 2:00 PM ET: Axios reports Trump is planning "peace talks."
Now: "If Iran doesn’t open the Strait of Hormuz within 48 hours the US will obliterate Iran's power plants."
What's happening behind the scenes?
