> 10/10/ 2025, After President Trump's China tariff announcement, the crypto market suffered its most severe single-day decline in history, erasing approximately $200 billion to $400 billion in market capitalisation and triggering over $19 billion in liquidations across over a million traders.

> The great dip was primarily ignited by the U.S president, Donald Trump's announcement of 100% tariffs on Chinese imports and exports, combined with high leverage in perpetual futures (about 100x), thin weekend liquidity and cascading margin calls, amplifying the sell-off into a 45 minute (around 2:00 pm EDT to 2:45 pm EDT...time might not be exactly accurate) frenzy that wiped out $278 billion in value at its peak.

In the past 24 hours, 1,673,968 traders were liquidated with a total of $19.38 billion.

> Hyperliquid has the largest single liquidation order on ETH-USDT valued at $203.36M

> Exchanges liquidations;

• Hyperliquid had the highest liquidation order, $10.31 billion in total
Long - $9.33 billion
Short - $978.74 million

• Bybit came next with total of $4.66 billion,
Long - $4.34 billion
Short - $313.48 million

• Binance was third on the list with a total of $2.4 billion,
Long - $1.4 billion
Short - $981.62 million

• Other Exchanges totalled a sum of $2 billion,
Long - $1.77 billion
Short - $230 million.
